Vehicle Detail

2004 Volvo XC90 T6- All wheel drive. 78,642 miles. EVERY available option. All service records. Compare to new. Drives like new. I bought the car from Rusnak Volvo, in Pasadena, CA. I am the second owner. The car was purchased new and serviced, since new, at Rusnak Volvo in Pasadena, CA. I have all the service receipts since new, all done at Rusnak. The car was traded in to Rusnak in August, 2010. I bought the car last month. I bought the Volvo to take a 6000 mile driving trip this month (with our Aliner trailer) to Orlando, FL and NYC (for New Years) from my home in CA. We have decided to fly, and forgo the NY portion of our vacation. We are leaving 12/18, so I am looking for a quick sale of the Volvo. If the Volvo doesn't sell, I will probably keep it, and put a hitch on it, and pull our Aliner trailer with it. Many Volvo XC90 T6's have a history of bad original transmissions. The original transmission was a GM designed transmission, adapted by Volvo. This Volvo was not the exception. The transmission was replaced by Rusnak Volvo, at 37,000 miles, in January 2007 (I have all the paperwork.) I spoke with the service manager at Rusnak last month, before I bought this Volvo. He told me the replacement transmissions have not been an issue, except for ones that had installation issues, and they went bad shortly after replacement. This new transmission has 41,000 miles on it, and shifts perfectly. The service manager said if I wanted more peace of mind I could have the transmission fluid, and transmission filter changed, even though Volvo doesn't recommend this for quite some time. In anticipation for the big Christmas trip, I took the Volvo to an independent Volvo repair facility near where I live (Dr. Volvo, Cathedral City, CA.) I had the transmssion fluid and filter changed. In addition, I had a complete synthetic oil change and filter done. Dr. Volvo found a crack in the serpentine belt, and replaced it as well. In addition, I heard a squeaking noise from the right front wheel area, only when the car was cold. Dr. Volvo found a bad "spring seat" and replaced it, along with the front left, in case it would go at a later date. He also replaced the air filter. This service was almost $1000. EVERYTHING was checked. The battery was replaced last month. The 18" tires have approx. 5,000 miles on them, and are like new. The front brakes have 25% of the pad remaining, the rears have 90% remaining. The rotors, front and back, are good. Stops great, no pulling, no squeaking. All of these measurements were taken last week. The interior is like new. No smoking. It has the third seat option. The exterior is very clean. The car drives, rides, and sounds like new. It is very quiet. The air conditioning, heater, and cruise control work excellent. The sound system is incredible. I also e-mailed the original owner (physics professor at Cal Tech) and have his return e-mail. He bought a new XC60 at Rusnak, and was satisfied with his 6 years with the Volvo. After the factory warranty ended at 50K miles, the original owner replaced the fuel pump, the air conditioning/heater blower motor, the top engine mount, and the front and rear lower control arm bushings, all at Rusnak Volvo. Again, I have all the receipts. This car has EVERY available option. The sticker was $52,305! It is all wheel drive, no levers to move, the car is always in all wheel drive mode. It has the following packages: Premium Package: Prologic surround sound system (w/6 CD), power retractable mirrors, 235/60/18 tires. Versatility Package: 3rd seat, rear air conditioning and radio controls, middle row child booster seat, load-leveling rear suspension Climate Package: Heated front seats, air quality system, rain-sensing wipers, headlight washer/wiper Security Package: Laminated side windows, leveling sensor In addition, the Volvo has the factory navigation system, bi-xenon headlights, wood steering wheel, subwoofer radio equipment, rear seat DVD player, and the rear obstacle detection system. I have all the books and manuals, 1 Volvo key remote, the remote for the navigation system (it works great), 2 sets of wireless headphones for the DVD player (works great), etc. I have the clear CA title in hand. The CA license plates expire 8/2011. I would not risk my feedback rating on ebay if I thought this car wasn't 100%. I have had this Volvo throughly inspected by an independent Volvo repair shop, and I have had everything repaired. I do like to buy and sell, as you can see from my ebay feedback. I will also list the Volvo on my local craigslist site, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. This is a cash sale, no checks of any kind. I might deliver the car up to 1000 miles for expenses. We are leaving 12/18, and not returning until 1/7/2011. I am looking for a quick, uncomplicated sale. Please have your finances in order before bidding. If you desire delivery, please contact me before bidding. I think this is the best buy on ebay. The 2011 Volvo XC90 looks almost identical! You probably could not tell the difference between this one, and a 2011 model, even if they were parked side by side. This Volvo looks that good. We took the Volvo to Santa Cruz over Thanksgiving week, I drove it about 800 miles on that trip, and averaged 22 MPG, at 70 MPH w/the cruise on. The pictures were taken today, but it was very cloudy. The Volvo looks even better in the sun. My roof mounted bike rack is not included. Thanks for reading all of this. If I was spending $15K, I would want all of this information as well. I hope you agree. No matter what you do, if you buy a XC90 T6, make certain the original transmission has been replaced, by Volvo. Volvo will stand behind the replacement transmissions as well, even for cars well out of factory warranty. Questions via ebay, robchu1@hotmail.com, or to my home, 760-321-5090. I live near Palm Springs, about 2 hours east of Los Angeles.
