ALSO NEW WINDSHIELD WITH ALL NEW RUBBER AND NEW BULLET REVIEW MIRROR Yes, out of all the tr6's I've had this one runs and drives the best and I've had 4. the rebuilt engine was done buy a British mechanic who was so careful and meticulous. he wouldn't sell me the car until the head light was fixed. I told him I would fix it myself but he wouldn't let me and long story short this took him a couple of months because he was in the middle of selling his business after 25 years. the engine is not even broken in yet and maybe has 150 miles on it. this tr6 is not like the rattle trap rides of most tr6's. This car is quiet and tight and feels like driving a real sports car. There is nothing worse than driving a car that rattles and tr6's are known for this, but not this one. and it has fast and tight electric windows! This car also has the best steering out of all tr6's I've had, it's very tight and has great radius. even the shifter is so smooth and quiet. Also this is the coolest running triumph I've ever had this car will not overheat, period. The paint on this car is a great color and is very shiny, but when the car was painted the primer was not allowed to dry long enough and little bubbles in the paint are the result. They are really not that noticeable, you can see them in some of the close up pics. just yesterday a guy came up to the car walked around it and said wow clean triumph! people just don't notice. the paint has some minor chipping here and there, like around the where the hood sits, but as you can see in the pictures it really looks pretty good .The paint is also hard, sometimes when a paint job goes bad it remains soft and will chip immediately but this car has been like this for a long time and is solid. On the drivers door there is one small rust bubble but nothing major and is hard to see. I've looked at cars where people have told me "oh there is some evidence of rust" and when I get there there are major rust blisters all over the car. Rust is the most expensive repair of all so stay away from rusty cars. It is better to buy a car that needs an engine rebuild or interior work than to buy a rusty car. On the other hand there is surface rust that is just that, and then there is rot that is rust that has gone through the panel. Lets talk about new paint. Buyers be ware of cars with NEW paint. Just yesterday a guy told me he doesn't worry about new paint because he brings a magnet. a magnet does not show RUST, it's easy to bondo over rust and you will never know until... the bondo starts to lift and crack. ask the seller if he has pics of the car before it was painted if he doesn't I would be very wary of buying a car with new paint. I had a little spitfire that was for sale a while back that had the original british racing green paint and a " spitfire guy" who used to own a body shop told me he would not buy a car with new paint. so I didn't paint it. collectors look for the cars with either original paint or a paint job that has been there for a long time. The paint on this car has been there for long time. This car is really straight and it is not full of dings and dents. the chrome is also very nice and shiny and is not dented.. The hood sits down straight and does not stick up on either side and the spacing is perfectly even on both sides. The doors are the same way they shut easily and there are no gaps on either door. the trunk also sits down nice and easy with perfect spacing on either side. This car is even Steven all the way around. every thing WORKS on this car, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, blinkers, speedometer gas gauge oil pressure, heat, heater, fan, windshield wipers, and the horn works but I have to get a new actual horn for it, but all the inner steering wheel wiring for the horn is good. I will try and have the horn fixed before someone buys it. Now all of these things if there are not working can take hours and hours of work. So make sure you ask when buying a triumph it all works! because half the time they don't. even the glove light works. However the titled has a salvage mark why? I don't know, I bought it this way and I could care less about that word when it comes to this car. My classic car insurance guy told me that a friend of his had his car stolen and nothing happened to it, but they put 500 miles on it so the insurance company salvaged the car. there is no rime or reason to these salvage titles. This car is far from some of the salvage wrecks I've driven and even owned that didn't have a salvage mark on the title. why don't some of these bent wrecks you've seen have them? because they were not reported to the insurance company and were fixed. A lot of people not even that long ago didn't even carry insurance and so these cars were fixed. or so they thought. I drove one of these wrecks that DIDN'T have a salvage title that was so bent the tires made noise like it was going around a corner too fast but it was going straight. This car has a perfect frame that has never been bent or welded and the car tracks perfectly straight and has been wet tested for this. Look at all the pics of the underneath of the car. If you are familiar with welds you can see there are no new welds. All the welds on this frame are from the factory. Is a salvage mark reversible ? YES. In California if you don't register the car for 5 years it will fall off, AND! in any other state you can take the car to a referee to have the car inspected and they will take the salvage mark off the title! what do they do to inspect it? they drive it and look at the underneath of the car. This is a really nice car and to drive it will definitely put a smile on your face. also an oily underneath of a car is a good thing it keeps the car from rusting. It's when you take all the oil off the underneath of the car that it will start to rust. In the engine compartment there is a plastic windshield washer reserve that is not showing in the car, but I have it, just so you know. No gamers, no pay pal, no cashiers checks, no money orders.
