1979 MG MGB Limited w/ Overdrive. California Car. If you love MG's, you will love this car. All this car needs is a new owner with some TLC to take it from great to awesome. Genuine Built Clean 1979 MG MGB Limited Edition. This car has been garage kept and is in great condition for being 32 years old. Black on Black with original paint and interior. There is a small faded paint area in one spot and needs minor body work in two spots. (the driver side hood and rear quarter panel) 4 speed transmission with Over Drive - the car is fast, picks up awesome and cruises at 70 + on the freeway with no problems! Original 4 Cylinder engine with around 57,800 miles. (This has been authenticated by California DMV paperwork) Clean title and current smog on file at CA DMV and the registration is good until 06/2011 Rebuilt Carburetor and choke (11/2010) Factory original cooling system Front and Rear anti-sway bars Larger round speedometer and tachometer Limited edition wider alloy wheels Limted edition original padded steering wheel Limited edition front spoiler Chrome luggage rack The Car and Motor : - Original padded dash is straight with no tears or splits, the smaller sized steering wheel is great to steer this car when driving on tight turns . (it turns nice and tight) - The gauges all work including the clock. Everything works: The heater, the heater fan, the 3 front wiper blades, horn, turn signals, stop lights, head lights, interior light, body lights, hazard lights, gauge lights, license plate lights, headlights, brights, tail lights, signal and stop lights. - The motor starts right up (after a couple of turns ) with NO smoke and the valves are quiet. You can feel the power and torque in this original motor. The transmission shifts smooth both up and down and all gears including overdrive . - Over sized radiator is original with duel fans that is 8 cly qualified keeps this 4 cylinder cool. - The car has it's original spare and jack with covers and the original MGB red owners manual/record book that came with the car. - This MG was fitted with a quality removable face Pioneer Stereo CD player with new front door speakers. - The Convertible top is original but is not attached to the car and needs a new rear plastic window and zipper. I have the top, frame and bolts for it, but it is not connected to the car. The Convertable top frame can be replaced along with a new top. -The 1/2 cover that is behind the seats looks close to new. The seats are original and have been repaired in several different spots and may need additional work. The door panels and the front dash are tight with no sags and in near excellent shape. -The rug is in good condition everywhere except the front floor boards but there are great thick MG mats that cover the floor. - The wheels are LE edition and are in good shape. The tires are OK. The Body: Paint and body are original the MG has a small dent in the hood and small dent in the driver side rear quarter panel. NO rot or rust throughout the car, the body is sound and has no other past repairs to it (that I know of), the floor boards, trunk and motor compartment are all clean and original. There is a small faded paint small near the windshield. The Flaws: The MG flaws have been pointed out (see pictures): small dent in front hood and driver side quarter panel. AND- the driver side seat belt does not retract back and will need to be replaced if you are larger than the length it is stuck at.
