Click HERE for even more Supersized photos The Story: Purchased this 911 as a fourth vehicle for my wife in December 08 to have a convertible. Other than maintenance and upgrades, we have used the car very little and it sits in the garage with three other cars more than I would like. So before putting it away for the winter, I thought I would offer it for sale to interested buyers. The car is (in my opinion) in great shape. It is a driven car (though not much) so is not showroom, but close. It is very dependable and very clean and fun to drive. You will see cheaper similar cars for sale, and I would encourage you to compare ALL of the options when comparing. This one has a lot! Most do not include a Factory Hard Top, which alone is a $5,000.00 option. Most do not include "FULL Draped" leather......Most do not have Burr Wood accents (each piece at $500.00 - $1000), Consider that the 30K Service has been performed by the dealer (10/08 29,260 Miles ~$1200.00), Consider that the RMS (Rear Main Seal), and IMS (Intermediate Shaft ) have been upgraded to the new versions (the most common issue with the Porsche 996) by the dealer (12/08 30,295 miles ~$1600.00). Other key enhancements are the partial Aero kit, Color Matched Rear Bumperettes, Colored Headlight Covers for a newer 997 style look, Aluminum Mesh Grilles to keep the debris from the radiators, Blaupunkt Upgraded Stereo that plays SD drive, FM, USB connection, and MP3 players, upgraded larger Exhaust Tips, New tires in 10/08 only 2500 miles on them, Optional Sport Classic Wheels, Schnell Aftermarket Performance Intake, New Spoiler Wall/Bellow, and many others.....Also the oil & filter were just changed. This 911 is heavily optioned, well maintained and very clean. Owned by a non-smoker, and adult driven, this vehicle is clean inside and out. With it's sleek design, additional Color Matched Hard Top, Porsche OEM Sport Classic Style Wheels, Partial Aero Body Kit, Color Matched Bumperettes, and Dark Burr Wood interior accents, this Carrera stands out among others. The front end is complemented with color matched headlight covers from Germany and aluminum matched grill inserts for a sleek look, that Porsche has returned to with their 2006 models! One of the other options that you almost NEVER find is the Porsche Factory Hard Top....Really makes it look like a totally different car. The convertible top and rear window are in very good shape also. The exterior is shiny Arctic Silver Metallic (The same color used on the Twin Turbo Carrera!). The paint is in very good condition, and the vehicle has been garage kept. The Silver and Gray combination with the special wheels looks very nice together. The mechanicals are all in working order on this car. The car runs, drives, and handles great! Has been trouble free to own. The interior is Gray leather and Dark Burr Wood, and is in very good overall condition. Equipped with power driver/passenger seats. All the interior components are driver friendly and function properly. This is a fast well performing sports car! It handles beautifully... accelerates very quickly.The Porsche 911 is a 3.4L DOHC EFI 24-valve flat-6 , four seat roadster, with a Tiptronic shift able automatic transmission. The convertible top makes it look great. Air bags are located in the steering wheel hub and the instrument panel, with door mounted side airbags. Brakes are disc, anti-locking, and included is the Porsche Traction Control option. The brakes incidentally, perform magnificently. The suspension on this car is nothing short of magnificent! You are literally glued to the road, no matter what speed or conditions you are driving under! The ride is comfortable and 2 adults fit nicely in the sport styled leather seats. Whether its a long drive or quick run around the track , your body wont feel tired after a ride in this car ! To summarize, this is a great car at a very good price. It is not a show car, and I have actually driven and enjoyed it. I am very satisfied with the way the vehicle looks and drives, but it is not brand new. I have included lots of photos and will be happy to send additional photos or answer questions. Issues: As stated above this 911 is in great condition in every respect. This is a 1999 vehicle so it is NOT NEW. In fact it is 11 years old. The car is ready for lots of enjoyable driving, but in the spirit of absolute full disclosure and honesty I wanted to point out the following two items of note ....Nothing major but wanted to point them out. Occasionally, when I have closed the front bonnet (hood) and then hit the key to lock the doors, I get a beep, which means one of the sensors is triggered. This has been traced to the hood/bonnet latch. I have carefully re-closed the hood and it works fine. Over time, the owner may want to replace, or adjust the hood latch ...I have no issues with closing it again on occasion. The only other issue, is I had the good fortune of having a rock strike the front passenger fender on top and there is a chip (it has been touched up and no rust or anything, but you can see it). I tried to get it in a picture. Those are the only items I am aware of. This 1999 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera Cabriolet has only 32,545 miles on it....
