Vehicle Detail

This is a 1994 Suzuki Sidekick JX, 4x4 , 5 speed stick, convertible, power steering, cold air conditioning. This car is an original Arizona car, im the second owner. It has been in Arizona its whole life except for the year i gave it to my kid to attend school in illinois. I had the car ziebart rustproofed (the best) for the winters there but she quit shcool and the car spent one winter there with little use. It still has a clean illinois title because she never transfered it back here even though she is back here. So i took the car away and it sat here-mostly not being used. The bad: The car has a small dent by the L. rear taillite-pictured. The hood has some oil-can type shallow dents from some kid sitting on it-i would eventually find another one in a junkyard. The driver seat has a small split on the side about 2" long-pictured. The plastic L. side window has a tear in it-a cheap fix or eventually get a new top-$149 shipped(ebay). The side mirrors are replacements-they are not electric like the old ones, but the switch and wiring are still there if you want to replace them with the power ones-an easy five minute job. The good: This car has no rust!! Look at the pics of the doors/sills and wheelwells-they are immaculate!! It is in excellent mechanical condition too- the engine runs like a swiss watch. The trans shifts fine-all syncros are good, clutch is good, the air conditioning blows cold (R-134), the steering is tight-no loosness or pulling, the 4x4 works fine-no problems, tires are like new-around 90%, It has NOT seen much off-road use, the underside is not beat-up, it has a sony cd player with input jacks, good speakers, no oil leaks, new battery, new fuel pump. Top is in fairly good condition except for the side window. Carpets are in good cond. The paint is still shiny-its been kept inside or the Az sun would have killed it by now. The car has a glasspack muffler replacing the original, it sounds just a little louder(you can hear it now) but not obnoxious or illegal. I installed a starter button on the dash near the key switch. The keyswitch was not cranking the engine, they wanted $175 for a new one, end of story. Now you turn the key on, then hit the button to start. The body is in great condition for its age-very few dings and only the dent on the L. rear that i mentioned. I replaced the grille and hood when my kid hit a road cone and some other construction thing on the freeway-just minor damage. She took it in for emissions and the engine passed fine but the car failed for the gas cap. I got another gas cap and it should be fine. If you are looking for one of these suv's then dont waste your time looking at one thats not rust-free. I can tell you that the minor issues that this car has are easy to deal with compared to a rusty car because rust/corrosion is a much worse problem than just the ugly holes you see in the fenders. It gets into electrical connectors-causing lots of problems with everything, it gets into the brakes-causing them to drag, it gets into the wheels-causing tire leaks, it gets into taillites, headlites, mufflers. Mufflers last for decades here in Arizona and we dont get many electrical problems-even in older cars. You can try to patch up a rusty car but the rust comes back six months later. As for parts, these cars are popular and there are actually thousands of parts listed here on ebay for them. This car is worth keeping and will look great for years to come. I would gladly spend a little more on the purchase price up front and get a car worth keeping nice! I have bought several used cars from Az when i lived in the midwest. You will get a lot of compliments on how clean the car is. If you have any other questions feel free to call Steve at 480 982-7641 or email. Thankyou for looking.
