Vehicle Detail
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: I have for sale a very nice 1966 Mustang that looks good, drives good stops good and is ready to go to your local car show. This car is very solid “no rust issues that I can find”. It came from the flat lands of Georgia where there is not much salt used on the roads. Its powered by the original 200 6 cylinder engine and connected with a 3 speed automatic transmission. This car has plenty of power, its just not a Muscle Car that you would burn the tires off with. You can drive at interstate speed with no problems. The paint job is nice, it’s a medium tan color. The interior is the very desirable Pony interior, it’s a two tone tan and emberglo. Emberglo is sort of a copper/burnt orange color, I love it. VIN 6R07T138548 MILEAGE: 85872 reading with most everything new or replaced. : HISTORY: I bought it at a car show in Georgia, I can not document anything thing that’s been done to it, its just my options. TITLE: Clear Georgia title in hand. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? None that I can find, I think all the panels are original. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: Nice tan paint job, the car is straight to look down the sides, it has no dents, it has a ding near the gas filler on the rear panel and a very tiny one on the passengers side, no rust bubbles. This is a very nice paint job for a car in this price range. PICTURES: This is a nice car, but beware of internet pictures, they make a junker look like a show car. “This is just a nice car, read my details”. CHROME: Very nice! INTEROR: Pony interior, it’s a two tone emberglo and tan color, emberglo is sort of copper/burnt orange. No wear and only a super tiny pick on one edge and repair patches on the door panel pulls, these were a weak point and vinyl formed around firm foam, it does not take long pulling on them to make a crack (this is a Ford design mistake and the vinyl patch is a standard fix that last longer). The interior is beautiful and nice, its plenty good. UNSERSIDE: No rust, not detailed for show, but nice. GLASS: Good glass, only a very faint wiper mark on the right lower side. WEATHERSTRIPPING/RUBBER: Good! ENGINE: A very nice running 200 six cylinder that has no rattles and no blue smoke. It has plenty of power for normal driving, it just not a Muscle Car Engine. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition. TRANSMISSION: C4 3 speed automatic that shifts good and has no slip. REAR-END: Original that has no unwanted noises. BRAKES: Manual drum brakes that stop the car good. STEERING: Manual steering, the car drives very nice. WHEELS AND TIRES: New looking radial tires with high dollar simulated Style Steel Wheel Covers. LIGHTS: I think every light works, even the door interior lights. RADIO: The original does work. GUAGES: They all work! Horn works! Wipers work! Speedometer works! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? Good! THE REST OF THE DECRIPTION IS VERY BORING UNLESS YOU HAVE REAL INTEREST IN BUYING! THE GAME: I don’t play the game like most sellers! I tell you who I am, how to contact me, where the vehicle is located, lots of details and welcome you to come and look at the vehicle. I don’t put my vehicles up for auction because it a big joke, most sellers just have their buddy’s bid the auction up to what they want. Read the who your buying from section, I’m 64 years old, I have been a auto mechanics instructor, was an instructor in the US Army aviation school for Chinook helicopters and sold a good business to retire and play with classic cars. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. I WILL ONLY PICK YOU UP AT THE AIR PORT IF THE CAR IS PAID FOR IN FULL, I HAVE MADE TOO MANY WILD GOOSE CHASES! RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE AIRPORT! WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 64 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 38. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 41 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Steve at 913-749-0948 Email stevens@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75)and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $500 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. Option 4: Pay Pal is good, but it cost a lot. It cost me around 3%, I will take it, but you will have to add 3% to the price. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit your just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: I am asking $ 8,850 for the car on the local market and let people bargain me down to $ 7,850. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.
