For sale is an extremely nice 1998 Honda Shadow 1100 ACE "Touring" model with only 21,514 miles. This came from a GM Car Dealership in the Indianapolis, Indiana area that took it in as a trade-in on a new car. This bike is in unusually good condition, only showing a minimal amount of wear & usage. I wouldn't say it's perfect but I will say it's WAY above average & I'd bet some folks would think it's 3 or 4 years old. There is no evidence of having fallen over, been wrecked, damaged etc. The bike needs no reconditioning to start driving daily! These Shadow ACE "Touring" models are unique & quite different from the standard Shadow 1100. I understand they started making a limited production of these starting in February 1997 (as a 1998 model) and stopped in January of 2001. It's estimated that only a total of 6,164 Shadow ACE "Touring" models were made, making this a neat bike to have now & possibly as a future investment. Some of the features found only on the ACE "Touring" are: * Honda replaced the A.C.E.'s loping, shaky single-pin-crank V-twin engine w/ the smoother, offset-dual-pin crankshaft design * Ride smoothness is further enhanced via a rubber cushion engine-mounting system. * Large handlebar-mounted windshield * Color-matched, locking hard saddlebags from the factory! * Both front and rear wheels are a 10-spoke cast aluminum wheel designed specifically & only for the Touring model * From the factory, chromed lower fender cover on both front & rear fenders * Shaft-drive, water cooled engine with a 5-speed transmission---bike only weighs in at 630 pounds so it's easy to handle! * Exhaust was specially designed 2-into-2 system.....showing a muffler on each side of the bike!
