Very, very rare, Super Duty Chateau passenger van with a V10 and a 5-speed Allison Transmission. When I bought this van, I was told this van was one of seven made with this drivetrain combination and was actually used internally by Ford Motor Company before they turned it loose with 39K miles, when I bought it. After owning it and talking to some car dealer buddies, I know it must be fairly rare as I have never seen another one and neither has anyone I have talked to, which includes a guy who specializes in selling heavy duty vans. I cannot verify this, but if anybody knows any different, I would be curious to know how many of these are actually out there. Okay, here is the scoop. Awesome van both from a factory drivetrain standpoint and also from a lot of custom goodies that have been added to it. V10 Allison 5-Speed (A phenominal transmission period. It is night and day above the Ford 4-speed, especially if you plan to tow anything) Heavy Duty, Dana 3.73 Limited Slip rear differential, actually does a great job in the slick stuff Chateau Super Duty Package 7 passenger, two rear captains and one rear bench. Quick release rear seats Tow mirrors Power windows, locks, keyless Rear A.C. Rear step bumper Two tone paint (A silver-green metallic color on top and graphite grey on the bottom) Tow Package with brake controller Step boards ...Things we have added 18" Mickey Thompson polished alloys with Michelin rubber. Not cheap but very tasteful. Navigation system with rear camera and bluetooth phone hookup. Also has Ipod and MP3 interface. Custom speakers in factory locations for better sound. Professionally installed and very factory looking. rear seat "office" table with 120V converter to run laptops, printers and so forth. Internet access on the road! Also makes a great place to eat a sandwich! Bushwacker flares and front spoiler with driving lights. Custom painted to match. Wood package for dash and door trim Stainless steel tie-downs in rear to haul motorcycles or larger items Many other, little touches Freshly serviced and ready for work or play! This is a very clean van that has not been smoked in or abused. We used it mostly as a four passenger, mobile office that could haul our motorcyles or bicycles out of the weather and be secured at hotels. Serviced every 5K since my ownership with synthetic Mobil 1. Routinely detailed and pampered before it's next trip. This is a very special van that is leaps and bounds above a V8 5.4 with a four speed. I know because I had an E250 5.4 before I bought this. It effortlessly pulls our open car trailer and gets better mileage than our old V8 because it isn't downshifting out of overdrive all the time.
