I have up for auction a beautiful 1 owner, all original (even the paint) unrestored 1961 Buick LeSabre. I purchased this car from an estate sale where it was sitting covered indoors for the past ten years. It is in excellent shape and has beautiful lines. I took the car home and put a battery in it and it started right up and purrs like a kitten. However the fuel tank will have to be drained (old gas) and the water pump will need to be replaced (leaking from weep valve). The Brakes are also not working at this time. Maybe just need to be bled or have wheel cylinders rebuilt. All chrome is there and in excellent condition but the front bumper has some corrosion on the lower half. All the glass is perfect, original, and crack free. Doors, hood, and trunk open with hardly even a click (perfect). All interior and exterior lights work. The engine is the 364 nailhead and is back up with a two speed trans. The car also has A/C. The belt is off but the clutch on the compressor still spins freely. Body is in excellent condition minus a small repair that looks to have been done years ago. The spot is on the drivers rear quarter just below the fuel filler door (nothing major). No rust holes or major damage at all. Just a couple of very small dings, not even enough to show up on the photos.The interior in this car is AMAZING to say the least. The upper door panels are a little dirty from arms being rested on them but will clean right up. The seats look like they have never been sat on. It has the rubber style carpeting in it (has a few cracks). I have all the documentation for the car and as mentioned before this is a one owner car. I will let the car go as is (needing water pump and brake work) for the final auction price or I can replace these parts and have the car road ready for an additional charge. I will leave this up to the winning bidder. It has a thin layer of body filler on the quarter.
