I am pleased to be putting up for sale this spectacular, all original, numbers matching, rust free, California, 1966 Austin Healey Mk III BJ8 Roadster finished in its factory Healey Blue paint. This is an incredibly special BJ8 that has been looked after and maintained to the highest degree possible. As the photographs try there best to illustrate, the exterior is gorgeous. The paint is in remarkable condition and the body is straight and correct. The bright work on the car is outstanding. Its original wire wheels are excellent. The correct blue soft top is in wonderful shape with a clear plastic window. The rubber trunk seal is new from Moss Motors and as a result you may notice that the trunks fit is closing slightly higher than it will once the rubber is broken in. The interior is as equally beautiful. The seats and door panels are nearly flawless. The carpets are in excellent shape. The original wood dash is absolutely gorgeous. The underside of the car is original, dry, and completely rust free. The car comes complete with all of its original equipment and its original drivers handbook. A copy of the Healey’s British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate confirming its original options, colors, and numbers, is included with the vehicle.This Healey has been local to Santa Barbara, California. In 2008 this wonderful Healey underwent a complete mechanical reconditioning totaling over $16,000 at the very prestigious British car garage in Santa Barbara, Winning Makes. Needless to say, the car needs nothing and is in superior mechanical condition. An extensive stack of service documentation will accompany the car in the sale. I do not have a car in my collection that gets more looks than this Healey does when I’m out for a late afternoon weekend drive. The cars color combination with its beautiful chrome accents and wire wheels paired with its brilliant originality, really sets this car apart from the rest. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements.
