1999 Ford Windstar SE Handicap Van w/ Lift & Scooter A 1999 Ford Windstar SE van. This van is green in color with a gray cloth interior. The van shows 100,862 miles on the odometer, and the rear cargo area has been fitted with an electric BackPacker lift which hoists a Legend Pride electric scooter into the cargo area. Both the lift and the scooter are included with this auction. The van will currently seat four people, as the third row seating was removed to make room for the scooter and lift. The scooter and lift travel in what would normally be the cargo area, leaving a small amount of room for storage between the scooter and the second row seating. The van features the following: 3.8 Liter, 200 Horse Power V-6 Engine Air Conditioning AM/FM Stereo with CD and Cassette Anti-Lock Brakes Automatic Transmission (4-speed with overdrive) Captain’s Chairs Cruise Control Driver and Front Passenger Airbags Front Wheel Drive Heated, Power Mirrors Keyless Entry Luggage Rack Power Driver’s Seat Power Locks Power Widows Rear Defrost Roof Rack Trailer Hitch This van belongs to an elderly gentleman who no longer drives. The van has been stored under a car port for several months. The owner purchased the van used and then added both the lift and the scooter. The lift and the scooter were both new when purchased. Owner’s manuals for the van and the BackPacker lift are included with this auction. One ignition/door key and one keyless entry transmitter are included. Condition: This van appears to be in overall good condition. The engine starts quickly and idles well. The transmission shifts smoothly. All of the exterior lights function properly. The cruise and AC work well. The van does have a slight vibration at highway speeds; this may be due to sitting in one spot for an extended period of time (tires a bit flat on one side), or the vehicle may need an alignment. The tires have plenty of useable tread life remaining. The exterior of the van does show some scuffs, small dings, and scratches. The passenger side rear taillight lens is broken. Although some of these blemishes are noticeable, the van still shows well. The interior is also in good condition. There are some normal stains on the carpet as well as some discoloration on the seats, but overall they are clean and have been well cared for. A good cleaning may remedy these issues. The car has been sitting for some time and a bit of a musty odor was evident when running the AC; this odor was not overpowering, but I felt it should be mentioned. There is a piece of trim missing from the front passenger side door around the interior door handle. There is some visible wear on the steering wheel. We tested both the BackPacker lift and the Legend scooter and both worked well. The lift and scooter are both electric and the batteries need to be charged by plugging the units into any standard 110 volt outlet.
