Vehicle Detail
This is an original, not restored, rust free, 69 800A Aristocrat, 304, 4-speed. All original parts that I have changed out have been kept. It runs great and has been driven regularly on weekends and when the weather is nice. If you are up for it, I would trust it to drive anywhere in the country. Keep in mind, it is a 41 yr old vehicle that does not have power steering and has manual/drum brakes. I have a copy of the original build sheet, service manual, parts manual and an old Haynes/Chilton manual. I'm selling because I want to lift/upgrade/build an 800 and I can't bring myself to "hacking up" such a good one. When I bought it, I didn't know it was an Aristocrat and don't want to destroy a limited edition original. I didn't want to waste any pictures on the top. It has a few small dents and surface rust, otherwise in great shape. The top is the original top for this Scout. The roof rack was removed and thrown away by the previous owner and it has not been painted. It is in good condition and just needs to be prepped and painted. If you would like pictures I can either add later or e-mail them. Buyer is responsible for shipping or making arrangements for pick-up. I would consider meeting in a city with a major airport if the buyer pays in full before delivery. Things I've done: 2 inch lift springs from Mr. Scout new heavy duty shackles, 4 degree caster shims, heavy duty U-bolts, poly bushings new Bilstein Shocks new paint in '07, sprayed in bedliner new marine vinyl on seats and new seat belts, front and rear rear seat removable and adjustable with custom seat brackets new wipers both tanks feed fuel, with new sending units in both electronic fuel selector unit Pertronix electronic ignition conversion with flamethrower coil roll cage bolted in last year all gauges and lights work Still to be done: speedo cable (original one no longer works) speedo works just need cable horn components (horn works, just needs "guts" in steering wheel) needs new gas pedal (drives just fine without it) leaks fluids (it's a scout and it's 41 yrs old!!!) top needs to be painted (It's in really good shape, just needs to be finished) The previous owner scraped the "roof rack" needs new muffler and last 4/5 feet of exhaust pipe (it's fine back to the rear wheels) 31x10.5x15 tires that have good tread left. I will probobly replace them in the next 6 months or so if it doesn't sell. They are old and 2 of them have very slow leaks. Extra parts that I have but haven't installed yet (included): new body bushings new universal joints (not needed now, purchased in case they needed to be done when I was doing the swapping the springs) new weather stripping for top (I started to restore the top and never finished, I took it off and haven't put it back on) Bikini top from Jeep CJ-5 (doesn't fit perfect, but keeps the sun off your head) This vehicle is in outstanding shape for 41 yrs old. It does not come with a warranty and is sold as-is. All sales are final.
