Don't let the Red scare you away,it's not rust. The beautiful classic custom is on a 3 day only auction. This is a perfect project for restoration. I have for a 1958 Ford Custom Fairlane with a 312 engine. The engine runs, new tires, doors work well, front console is in good condition. The car has a good windshield/strip and all side glass, no cracks. Good back glass/strip, no cracks. Floor pans, in front are solid, trunk pan is solid. Lip on front of hood is solid. Door bottoms are good. Trunk lid is ok, bottom lip has minor rust. Brakes will need to be fixed. Front cross member is good. The car runs and drives ok. Weld splatter will need to be removed. Radiator support has some rust. Bumpers are repairable. Correct seats, interior looks good but will need a new headliner. If you are looking for a project, this is a good one. This is a 1958 Ford Custom Fairlane with a 312 V8 Engine (runs), this is the original engine. The front floor pans are solid, hood, trunk, panels (fenders) and top and trunk are solid. There is some rust on the support for the radiator and rear floor pan on drivers side. There is also some surface rust on the pipes. The bumpers are repairable (re-chromed) the interior is great for this year car. The front console is intact and in great shape. The doors are operational and the seats are original and in great shape. The headliner will need to be repaired. The transmission went into each gear but I really didn’t drive the car. The car doesn't have breaks, its possible it needs fluids. The car has been sitting for a while. The tires are new and the car is in overall good condition. Some custom work was started, a great start point. This is the perfect vehicle for restoration. Please send me your questions. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.
