I've owned this car since March 2000. I’d love to keep it but there’s limited room in the garage. If you are unfamiliar with these cars, they are a Ford product imported from Germany. They are sporty and fun to drive. Poly bushings on front suspension (inner control arm bushings not in yet). 2.5" custom stainless exhaust with 3" Catco converter; passenger side exit ahead of rear wheel. 5 lug 4 wheel disc brake conversion with recently new Brembo rotors and all new calipers and master cylinder. 15"x6" merkur rims with acceptable tires. 3 spoke steering wheel from the European Ford Sierra. A-pillar 2 gauge pod; Autometer water temp gauge included (I'm keeping the A/F ratio gauge) Audio system completely removed. A/C compressor and various components removed. This car goes, turns and stops like new. Excellent candidate for amateur motorsports like autocross or rallycross. Typical of Merkurs, the vehicle monitoring system and secondary warning system (items like door ajar, low fuel, low oil, worn brakes, etc.) doesn't work much of the time. Spare computers (for both the engine and the monitoring system) are among the many spare parts I have that will go with the car. Most of the main gauges are working, although the fuel and coolant gauges have started reading erratically at times. Rear wiper isn't working, but rear defrost does. Emergency brake needs new cables. The seats are dirty but I've installed new covers. Paint is getting faded and there are some rust spots on the fenders and doors. There is some rust in the rockers. Spares and parts that could go with the car include the original “phone dial” 4 lug wheels (which no longer fit); some inner panels and trim parts; aforementioned spare computers; very clean spare rear control arms; original 2 spoke steering wheel, etc. etc. It still has the rear cargo deck/cover.
