1996 Mercury Villager Minivan. Great running dependable van. All tires are good and the rear two are only a couple months old. Exhaust is good, runs quiet. Engine runs great with no noises, leaks, etc and transmission shifts great. I just had most of the brake system replaced two weeks ago. New rear brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, spring and adjuster kits on both sides. New front brake calipers, one new rotor, new brake pads both sides, and drivers front brake hose replaced. I had these parts replaced but the brake system needs to have the air bled from the lines. Brakes work now but are not as good as they should be due to air in the lines. Should be no problem to drive it home as long as you are careful. No other issues with the van except for a cv joint that makes a little noise in the drivers front side. Overall a really dependable running (always starts easy and has good solid drivetrain) I bought the van from soemone I know who had it for several years before I got it and it has had regular oil changes every 3,000 miles. Speedometer is not functional in the van.....just quit working a few months ago. Does have some rust along bottom especially bottom edge of drivers door. Rear side door doesnt slide as easy as it should...but i havent looked at it , may just need oiled. Definately not a new van and has minor imperfections and such as any vehicle 14 years old will have. I was driving this daily 20 miles each way to work until having the brake work done and then bought a geo tracker thats easier on gas. I have done my best to tell you everything I know about the van but you are buying it "as is" due to the age of the vehicle.
