This is a 1998 2500 Dodge Ram SLT Lariat 4x4 24valve Cummins Quad cab long bed. NO RUST!!! Never Smoked In. This two owner truck was originally purchased in Kentucky which is where it spent most of its life. I purchased this truck in 2007 from the original owner with 50,000 miles and brought it up to the Western Chicago area. The Truck currently has 119,000 miles on it. I used this for a daily driver. Yes i did tow with this truck on the weekends. I pulled my racecar trailer as well as the boat up to the lake. The original owner also towed his boat to the lake on the weekends. Oil was changed religiously. Truck : SLT Laramie 4x4 with manual shift transfer case. Automatic Trans, Locking rear diferential. Quad cab 4 door. Class 3 hitch with 7 prong wiring harness. Tekonsha electric LCD display brake control. Edge with attitude. Keyless Entry. Exterior: NO RUST!!!Black with fiberglass Runningboards. 8ft bed with rubber bed mat. No holes in bed. A weatherguard 127 saddle tool box. Lil Will II 3ft CB antenae. LED Tail lights, third brake light, and rear marker lights. One piece reflector stlye headlamps. Tinted windows. Block heater. 2002 Aluminum wheels. 285 / 75 r16 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains. 5 inch turbo back straight pipe with 6inch tip. Interiror: Grey cloth bench with center armrest console. Power drivers seat. Power windows / locks. Cruise control. A/C. CD / cassette. Rubber floor. Carpet mats. Cobra hanheld CB. Rear bench folds up. Temperature display with compass. HISTORY At 55,000miles I put on a MBRP 5inch turbo back strait pipe, no muffler, exhaust with a six inch stainless steel tip. I also put on a set of 02 dodge 2500 wheels wrapped in a set of 285/75 r16 BFG Mud Terrains. The truck is loud but if not desired, you can easily put a muffler on. At 70,000 I put on an Edge with attitude as well as single peice reflector style healamps, LED taillights, and LED third brake light/ cargo light. At 101,000miles I had the trans rebuilt and beefed up. There is a high performance torque converter as weel as steel spider and reverse gears. Also I installed a different gear and pump which raises the fluid preassure and firms up the shift. IT DOES NOT SHIFT HARD! These upgrades should fix any and all issues that all of these trucks transmissions have. (As a side note, I have a 97 12v 3500 that i had the same trans work done at 115,000mi. It has a flat bed on the back and is used commercially dailey hauling loads. It currently has 300,000 miles on the truck and the trans still runs strong.) At that time i also put all new bushings in all four front axle control arms as well as rebuilt the rear drive shaft. At 110,000 miles (Feb '10) the fuel pump went out.I replaced with a rebuilt vp44 from The Deisel Store. The injector pump went out when the lift pump failed. At the time of the pump replacement I switched to a FASS Fuel system. Also at that time i put on new shocks in all four corners. At 115,000 miles i put on new front rotors, pads as well as changing both front hub assemblys. I also put on a new track bar which comes with a lifetime warrenty from Orileys auto parts. (very common for bushings to go out on track bar on dodges. Also put on a New set of BFG KM2 Mud Terrains 285 / 75 R16. Everything on or in truck shown in pictures goes with the truck. I also have the original headlights, taillights, third brakelight, HID conversion kit, Extra hub, and front upper control arm bushings i will throw in with the truck. *** The truck has 8 carriage bolts in the roof, that have been primed and painted, where a Lund Moon Visor was attatched. I removed it because the paint was coming off. I think it looks ok the way it is shown in the pictures. You can put a new Moon Visor, leave it the way it is, or fill the holes and repaint the whole roof. No one has noticed until i tell them. Just informing you so there are no surprises!*** I think the pictures speak for themselves. I love this truck and hate to see it go but i simply have no room for it. This is a strong running truck and I would have the confidence to get in it today, hook up a trailer and drive across the country with no issues.The only reason I am selling is b/c i bought a new 2011.
