This is a 1975 BMW R90/6 that has been built into a beautiful Cafe Racer. Was built several years ago and purchased by a customer of mine. He brought it to me due to a great loss in power. It had a big end bearing that was binding. He couldn't afford the rebuild so I purchased it and did a complete rebuild. All bearings have been replaced. The crank shaft was turned and balanced. The heads were rebuilt with new valves and guides. The cylinders have been replaced and new rings installed. A new timing chain was installed. Both Dellorto carburetors have been rebuilt. I've started the motor. It runs fabulously. Very smooth. Does not smoke. Sounds great. Have only started the break in. I can finish or allow new buyer to finish first 500 miles. I'm not sure what the front end is from but it responds terrifically. Handles much better than stock. I drive a /5 with works springs and this is night and day. I have been told it's from an early Kawasaki. Notice the adjusters at the bottom of each one. Forks are 7 7/8" from centers of each tube. Stainless steel front fender with custom mounts looks great. Dual brakes with 12" discs stop incredibly well. Brake calipers read DOP and have 4 pistons each. Has Beautiful clamp on bars. Starter switch and horn are operated with an English control. Paint is in great shape. Beautiful shine. Set backs are made for BMW machines. Very nice and sleek. 5 speed transmission is in great shape. Inspected at rebuild. Input and output shafts spin smoothly without clicking. Shifts well. Feels good on the road. Splines have been lubed on the transmission and the final drive with proper spline lube. Final drive unit has a ratio of 34/11 Other special features are the 2 into 1 header, Dellorto 36AD carburetors, and K&N reusable air filter.
