I can help arrange transportation to the ports as well as throughout the states. 1962 VW Bug- Chassis number 4053553 matches under hood and under the rear seat- according to my research, manufactured in July of 1961. The engine number is 7042033 manufactured in Aug of 1962. The engine runs well and the transmission shifts fine in all gears- clutch is fine- This is a 6 volt system- This bug needs someone to spend some time going through the whole system, cleaning grounds, etc. The lights work, then the next time I start it, I have to play with the light switch to get them to turn on. It needs windshield wipers, and the wipers will turn on and then the next time, not work. I have not been able to get the horn to work. Bottomline, it need some love and I can't pay a mechanic to tinker with everything. The oil was just changed and the brakes checked- @30% front and rear. Interior- radio, speedo, and odometer work. I do not know about the miles so I am representing them as unknown. The seats and the headliner need to be redone. Rust- I have pictured the underneath and there is a soft spot underneath the battery area. The rest underneath looks pretty good- I pictured the rails and under the fenders. Exterior- paint is overall decent with scratches, chips, etc pictured. Bumpers are good. The rear apron has been replaced. The doors lock and the windows roll up and down as they should. Overall, the bug runs and drives down the road fine and is in pretty good shape for the year. I have a CA clean title and it is registered until 7-24-2011. CA residents must pay CA sales tax and license fees. The bug is sold as is where is with no implied warranty of anykind-
