Up for auction is a rare 1987 Shelby Lancer. If you have come across this listing by accident then here is the Wiki link with a little about the vehicle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelby_Lancer . For those of you familiar with the vehicle no introduction is necessary ! As you can tell from the pictures the car is by no means in Showroom Condition. Currently the the Battery is dead, so I am listing it as NOT RUNNING. There are no major defects that I am aware of, but the car did have some Air/ Fuel issues when it was driven Daily a few years back. Since then it had sat idle, and Grass and Weeds were allowed to grow up around it. So I am giving it one last chance to run again ! This car needs a new home, and I hope there's someone out there interested in it. I think it's a really awesome car, but just don't have the time or the means to care for it. The car comes with a lot of extras, and anything else that I find around that pertains to the car will also be included. Then was in New Hampshire for a couple years before my Brother bought the car in the early 2000's. There is a lot more that can be said about this Super Cool Car, but I'm not sure what to say. Have a Great Day !!On Oct-28-10 at 15:27:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information : I have been getting a lot of questions about the under body condition. Unfortunately I don't have access to a lift, so it is very difficult to get decent shots of the under side. What I will say is this car has seen very few salty roads or Winters in general. It spent most of it's years in The South (Atlanta, GA), then when it was in NH the owner stored it over the Winter months. My Brother purchased the car in 2005 and drove it till sometime in 2007. So at most the car has seen 2 years of Salty Roads. The Body and Frame are still well sealed and free of rust. There are a few spots where the red paint has faded/worn thin and primer can be seen, but no rust. Where there is rust, are under body components such as rotors, calipers, steering and suspension components. All places that I would say are common for a 23 year old vehicle. Additionally sitting in a field with grass and dirt have caused the underside to be less attractive, than it would be, if parked on asphalt or concrete. Additionally, I think the winner of this auction should plan on trailering/ towing the vehicle home. Not because I think it will never run, but because the car has not run in sometime.
