Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1949 Ford Two Door Sedan Chop Top Custom.. This thing catches looks from a mile away..! Old flat head replaced with a 302 backed by a c-4 automatic transmission actuated by a brand new 23" swan neck shifter from Genie. The radiator is a brand new one of the 67 mustang variety. The voltage regulator, starter, alternator, coil, and plugs are also all new. Exhaust is disposed of through a set of custom made headers followed up by a set a cherry bombs turning out before the rear wheels which are bolted to a Ford 9". All those 6 volt wires made better by hard to find fuses gone... This thing has been completely rewired with a brand new wiring harness and new fuse panel. A rebuilt master cylinder, brand new hard lines, and rubber lines ensure stopping is a breeze. The seat is a bench as it should be and very comfortable. The windshield..? You wont find any plexi glass in this one..! The chop top has had a custom cut two piece v cut windshield so no more metal strip in the center.. Also has the rear glass installed.. No side glass. The entire back window of this car has been layed down in order to give it that oh so right kind of look to the chop.. The body work is 90 percent done and the car has been shot in a two part epoxy to the shade of black. Drive it like this or go over it another time with the blocks, paint, finish the interior and you'll have yourself one wicked looking show queen.! The front clip is off of a 1951 ford giving it the more aggresive looking front end. The grill is original to the clip and perfectly matches the bumpers for that vintage look. The dash retains all of the original knobs, gauges, and radio although they don't work (6volt) I kept them just for the era feel. The dash has a fresh coat of primer as does the entire rest of the inside. This thing is clean.. The firewall has been shaved smooth and the floor pans have been patched including the trunk which holds the fuel cell. The hood is being finished and will be included with the car painted in black to match. The biggest things this car needs to be "finished" are installing an interior and final sanding/paint but this 1949 Ford chop top custom has all the workings to be "that one". This car comes with no warranty (it's a hot rod) and all sales are final. A $1,000 deposit is due 48 hours from auction close and full payment due within seven days. I can deliver this car to your location for a simple fee of a dollar a mile. Otherwise shipping is the responsibility of the winner. I will, of course, help out in any way I can. Thank you and good luck..! On Oct-25-10 at 23:03:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added pictures of the car with the hood on it. It has been primed in black like the rest of the car. It does need a little bit of finishing but it doesn't look too bad for being a 49 hood on a 51 front clip. Thanks to everyone for all of the interest..
