Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. This is a REAL XS29L code Charger R/T. The engine runs, and transmission shifts forward and reverse but, there are NO BRAKES. Therefore, this car must be trailered to it's new home. I have a clear MI title and fender tag, but no build sheet has been found yet. DRIVE TRAIN: The engine has an "E 440" stamp on the top of the block, indicating that it is a 1969 440" V-8 engine. It may be the original numbers matching engine, but I have'nt checked it yet. The engine starts right up, and runs smooth. There are no knocking sounds or smoke. It could probably use a good tune up and some carb work though. The 727 automatic trans shifts into forward and reverse smoothly. I have only driven this car around the yard due to it not having any brakes. This car also has an 8-3/4" rear end. I'm not sure of the gear ratio. The chrome Magnum 500 wheels are in good condition too. BODY: The body was originally T-5 "Copper/Bronze", with a white transverse R/T stripe on the tail and a vinyl top. Now, it is orange with a black stripe. The body is in rough condition. The interior and trunk floors have rust holes. The body has bondo in every panel. The frames are rusted and need replaced. The head lights work. The grill is in great condition. The glass looks good too. INTERIOR: The tan interior is very complete. The seats are in very good condition for a 41 year old car. It has bucket seats with a buddy seat and a column shifter. Door and rear panels look good. Carpet and headliner are rough. Dash looks real nice. The factory radio is still in place. OVERALL: Because this car is a real Charger R/T, it is worthy of a quality restoration. There are not many true 1969 Charger R/T cars left, and this one runs and is mostly complete! It comes with a clear title and fender tag. The engine and trans run fine, and the car will move under it's own power. This is originally an A/C car. I have most of the A/C components, but some are missing. The interior is original, complete, and in decent condition. But,...this car will require a lot of body and structural repair. Please watch my upcoming ebay listings for 10 more 1968-70 Dodge Chargers I will be selling. The last picture shows a few of them, but this auction is only for the one car listed. NOTE: This car is sold "AS-IS, WHERE-IS". There are no warranties at all. All sales are final. No returns or refunds for any reason. There is a $1000 deposit due immediately at the end of the auction to secure your purchase. The balance is due in full within 3 days of the end of the auction. You may use Paypal for the deposit. The balance MUST be paid in cash, or by wire transfer. The car will not be released until all funds are cleared. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. I might be able to deliver ( I have a truck and trailer) within the continental USA for $1.25 per loaded mile. I checked for the vin stamped on the engine block, and found there was no vin stamped into the engine block. This means that this car has a "Warranty Block". Therefore, this car is as close to "numbers matching" as possible. This is great news for you "numbers guys"! I am adding a pic of the vin pad on the engine. -Jeff.
