1983 GMC Sierra, 6.2L Diesel, 4speed OD 700R4 trans, SWB. 153K original miles, no smoke with factory duals and two owners. Second owner since 1987. Have title from 1987. Power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, A/C. All power options work including the A/C and cruise. Cruise is kinda slow but works. No tears in the interior. Steering is tight and straight. Trans shifts and works great. No modifications on the truck except for bypassing the glow plug timer to a manual switch.It will start right up with no problems quictly every time. The body is straight except for a few small rust spots on the lip of the hood and tailgat botom, just a few hours of repair. Doors open and close very tight like it was only a few years old (no sagging hinges.) I get 22 MPG on the highway at 70 MPH. The bed has had the rubber bed mat in it since new so it does not have any damage to the bed floor. All guages work as well as both tanks and fuel guages for both tanks. This truck is kindof rare being that it is a 1/2 ton with the diesel and being a short bed and fully loaded with all power. The truck has most of the original paint with the exception of a few spots being touched up through the years. It would need a paint job soon and a light detailing to be near perfect. It still has all of te factory spare equipment and jack/lug wrench. I bought this truck to repaint and use a weekend driver but found another 4x4 to restore. It is a factory SWB Sierra Diesel as you can see on the option card in the pictures. It does have the 1-1/4" front rotors and limited slip rear diff. It has NO SLACK in the steering at all. No matter how long it sits, cold or hot outside, it starts the first time, everytime. I need to move this truck due to it is now outside cause I have no more room in my shop.
