Vehicle Detail
This 1965 Unique Fia Cobra was built by the infamous Bill Neale to road race in some nostalgic events in the late 90's. It represents one of the original Terlingua cars used and is copied in fine detail down to the AC pedals. I was told the drive train has the following: 1968 Mexican block w/ Boss 302 crank and rods and dart aluminum heads all balanced to within 1 gram. Heads have been ported and flowed and it is a full hydraulic roller assembly. Holley 650 carb sits on original Cobra intake and factory 6 qt. Cobra oil pan. Toploader close ratio 4 speed, Jag 3:36 gearing with Wilwood disc on all 4 corners. I also have new bumpers and top for the car (never installed). There are some very rare sketches of prints from Bill Neale for the paint scheme for the car before this one finally made it to print. Tons of paperwork, documentation and receipts for all work performed. As far as the color on these cars; look under the left turn signal and notice the GY002; that stands for gawd awful yeller....... with his Texas draw, as Shelby called it. Bill Neale was his graphics designer and in the 60's all the cars on the track were red, white, and blue. Shelby told Bill that he had a hell of a time finding his cars and find me a color that would stand out! Paint me a car I can find anytime I look for it!! This is how the chrome yellow was born on the Terlingua cars! I have more pics if you need them and if you have any questions; please ask. This car is plenty fast and a great car to take to any cruise in; it draws lots of attention every time out. Everything works and has no issues, few minor flaws in the paint from racing. If you are looking for a great Cobra with a Unique history and not just you average kit car, then this car may be for you. Please do not bid unless you intend to buy the car...... Thanks for looking and good luck.
