Vehicle Detail

Regrettably, financial difficulties require that we sell my wife's project truck, her 1957 Ford F-100 Styleside pickup. We've been working on this as time and money permit for the past several years, but we now need to let it go. This truck was originally from Iowa, so it did have some rust. I have removed most of it, replacing the rusted panels with replacement panels. Since I'm learning woodworking, I replaced the steps (one side done, the other started). The door panels are being done with 1/4" cherry. Wood will be supplied with the truck to complete this. The engine is a 78K mile 460 V-8 from a 1973 Mercury and has approx. $1500 worth of parts from the Summit Racing catalog, per the following list: D3VE heads, cleaned up, magnafluxed, inspected, surfaced, springs seated and measured. Comp Cams Hi-energy 268/268 cam/lifters Summit 1 pc. Pushrods New valve springs Double roller timing gear Summit Torrington thrust bearing kit Summit high volume oil pump Front sump oil pan Custom billet timing cover-mounted dipstick Edelbrock Performer RPM intake Professionally rebuilt 74 Autolite carb (650+ CFM) Holley sidewinder pro plug wires Jacobs Electronics high performance coil Bosch double platinum plugs Hi-temp ceramic engine paint (4 coats) New HD custom Army-grade rubber engine mounts Hedman hedders The previous owner of the engine built it with the above parts, and I installed new rod and main bearings as well as a dual-point distributor. I have had the engine running and it runs STRONG!!! The truck has a C-6 automatic. I also had new leaf spring custom-built ($700) and a custom drive shaft built ($400). The truck has had a complete, new brake job with new master and slave cylinders and all new lines. The fuel tank was from a 1965 Mustang and has been mounted between the frame rails under the bed. The truck has new Flowmaster mufflers bolted to the headers and I have chrome 5" exhaust stacks with semi-style top flappers to keep the rain out, but they are not installed yet. All that's really left to put the truck on the street is to custom-make the throttle linkages and install the B&M shifter that's also included. The wheels are the same as those from a mid-1990's conversion van and the tires are NEW! They have never been driven on the street, but I towed the donor truck less than 10 miles on them - no other miles are on them! There is a crack across the lower part of the windshield. The body work has been started but not finished. I will include approx. 1.5 gallons of metallic purple paint that my wife chose as well as the matching reducer and hardener to complete the paint work. I have recently installed new grey carpeting and gray cloth bucket seats from a Ford Contour. The B&M shifter is installed, but some work on the linkage is still needed. After that, the truck should be drivable. Generally, this is a project that is about 60% done and will make a great winter project for someone to complete. I do have this advertised locally, so I reserve the right to cancel the auction if I get a local buyer. However, once the reserve is met, I will let the auction continue to the end and will not cancel it. I can take some additional pictures this weekend and post them, so it there's something in particular you want to see, please contact me and let me know. I can be reached at mtype1931@msn.com or call me at (920) 382-1063 before 9 p.m. Central Time. Due to the payment I'm trying to raise money for, I will require a $1000 down payment via Paypal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. I regret that this is necessary, but it takes a few days for the funds to be posted. The other option is to come personally and bring cash when you pick it up. I will consider partial American trades, but must have at least $1000 in cash. If you're interested in offering a partial trade, contact me to discuss and we can set up a "buy-it-now" to complete the auction. The truck has been stored inside since we've owned it and we can continue to store it for 30 days for no additional charge. Storage for longer than that will need to be discussed. Payment in full must be received before release of the truck or title. I can assist with transport, according to my disclaimer below. I'm as much a buyer on Ebay as I am a seller, so I know how you want to be treated. I will respect you as a buyer and will do my best to make your transaction as professional and pleasant as possible. I ask, though, that you respect me as a seller and understand that this is how I make money. Please pay your invoice on time and contact me if there is any problem. Chances are good that I can work with you on a problem if I know what the problem is. I have 100% feedback and I intend it to keep it that way. TRANSPORT CHARGES: On many larger items I sell, I can arrange transport. You MUST contact me prior to the end of the auction for a transport quote. I use a mapping program to determine transport costs. I will determine the mileage ONE WAY from my address to yours and charge $2.50 per loaded mile (one way). The cost of the return trip is included in the $2.50 per mile. If the one-way distance is more than 350 miles, I need to charge an additional $50.00 per 350 miles for lodging. For example, The distance from Kingston, Wisconsin to Nashville, Tennessee is 678 miles. The transport charge for this trip is $1695 plus $50 for one night's lodging, for a total of $1745. If more information is needed, please inquire prior to the end of the auction. I SELL TO U.S. BIDDERS ONLY. NO OVERSEAS SALES! NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN WRITING OR OTHERWISE. THE WINNING BUYER MUST CONTACT ME WITHIN 24 HRS OF AUCTIONS END TO INFORM PAYMENT METHOD. IF THIS WILL BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU TO DO BUSINESS THIS WAY, DO NOT BID !!! LISTINGS ARE EXPENSIVE AND I WILL REPORT ANY BIDDERS WHO DO NOT COMFORM TO THE RULES OF EBAY AND ALL CONDITIONS LISTED. WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR LISTING ERRORS. These descriptions are as accurate as possible. The pictures provided are to enable you to form your own opinions for the sole purpose of making a purchase. I reasonably believe all statements as to the condition and/or history to be true and correct do not guarantee accuracy. Questions about this item and it's history are welcome.
