Offered for sale is a stunning, original numbers matching 1964 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 finished in exceedingly rare two-tone British Racing Green and Florida Green over a black interior. This car has been lovingly looked after all of its life, always garaged and maintained by professionals, and it truly shows in both its aesthetics and performance. Finding a strong running BJ8 in a rare color combination that's not priced out of most people's markets is becoming more and more difficult these days, and this car won't leave anyone disappointed. The two-tone paint is in fantastic condition, retaining gorgeous depth and luster and marred only by negligible of imperfections, none of which appear in the pictures. All of the brightwork is in excellent condition, as is the rubber and glass. The flawless wire spoke wheels are wrapped in nearly new tires and the soft top is impeccable, showing no wear and retaining a crystal clear rear window. The interior is equally as clean. Newly reupholstered front seats are flawless and the original rear seats show only minimal wear. The carpets and panels are all excellent, as is the wood dash, free of any cracks or other perfections. The carpets are in great shape, as in the headliner of the convertible top. Mechanically the car is extremely strong. Excellent compression, smooth shifting and no start-up hesitation or smoke make this Healey a true joy to drive, whether it be roaring through the canyons, cruising down the highway or just tooling around town on a weekend afternoon. The car has always been lovingly maintained by its three owners, the last of which is a notable Healey collector with a stable of 30+. We're happy to take the car to any British car specialist in the area to confirm is outstanding mechanical condition. The undercarriage is show-car clean, with no evidence of rust or rust repair and this car has never been in any accidents and all of the sheet metal is original and dry.
