Relisted with lower reserve! Here is a very nice restored original California 1929 MODEL A closed cab all metal pickup truck with rebuilt motor and transmission. Also with rare original pair of front and rear 1929 California license plates. Hard to find these in this shape. I had hopes of keeping this pickup but at this time I need to sell to finishing our new house. I can't verify this but the previous owner I got this from said this truck was used in Southern California for postal deliveries in rural areas. Previous owner and myself tried to keep this a purest Model A as much as possible with rebuilding existing parts and replacing a few. Body is all steel and original. Extra signal lights and seat belts were added for safety. Truck uses its original 6 volt positive ground electrical system with generator. All lights and horn work. As does the vacuum windshield wiper.  Most of wiring has been replaced. It does have a "kill switch" under starter. Radiator great condition, does not leak, has thermostat installed and runs VERY cool. Has never overheated.  Truck is currently California registered / insured till Oct. 2010. Vin number A2669427 is on registration and engine block. I have most of the receipts with this truck. Work on this Model A included rebuilt engine, transmission, clutch, Professional rebuilt Zenith 2 carburetor, new front drums, 4 new Coker tires, new hoses, clamps, lower water pipe, rebuilt distributor new front and rear wheel bearings, rebuilt tie rod and drag link. All new brake linings. New mechanical brakes probably need a little adjusting. Didn't have time to do this but truck does stop straight. New $233  J.Rupert Extreme Duty Leakless Water pump. There are probably many other items added that are on receipts.   Truck has rare working Westclox dash clock that was one of the optional additions you could get at that time.   I got busy on our house project so truck sat covered most of the time in my garage with the few occasional errands I ran. The rebuilt engine has less than 200 miles on it.  Truck did get 2nd place pickup runner up at a show I took it to. Got many complements overall. A few comments that both doors close tight and line up very nice to body. There are a few minor issues I think need to be disclosed but in my opinion they are minor and tried to show in photos. Some touch up on chrome bumper and other very small matching touch ups on other body parts. A little crackling of paint on upper cab near soft top area. Little crackling above Ford insignia on radiator. On driver side door there is a line that looks like someone had opened the driver door too far without the door stop straps on and hit against the spare tire. Really not that visible as you can see in photo. Very little oil drip looks like it is coming maybe from oil pan plug. Was going to replace it but never got time.   I tried to describe this truck the best I could. As you see in the photos the truck over all looks pretty good compared to  the other ones I have seen. Many of the black and green body parts finish have a mirror finish that looks very nice. Email any questions. If needed I have other underneath truck pictures but could not fit in my listing.
