This auction is for a RARE FIND…… 1985 Mercedes Benz 300CD Turbo Diesel, current mileage is 107,401……a wonderful driving car that loves the open road, would not hesitate to take on any trip! A burgundy exterior (NO RUST) with Palomino interior, sunroof (electric) , factory am/fm stereo with cassette player, power windows, power vacuum locks, cruise control, wood looks great. Beautiful color combination Burgundy exterior with a palomino colored interior. ALL factory options are in working condition (sun roof, windows, cruise control), Seats are all in good condition, wood has some minor cracks, dash has 2 cracks at corner/curves(see closeup photos of dash) The car drives wonderfully, cranks right up and does not ‘blow’ any nasty diesel or oil smoke! The a/c blows VERY cold and has been converted to A134 ( done 7/2003 a/c compressor & drier at 90k miles. It has been garage kept. Owned since 10/85 by an eldery couple until recently. I do have books and records. Had a major service performed in January 2007 at 104,936, alternator replaced July 2008 at 106,852, new installed hood pad. Replaced front wheel bearings and glow plugs 4/2005 at 100,472. Trunk is immaculate with original spare tire & rim in good condition w/tools & jack. The exterior paint is in good condition with NO rust and NO visible rust underneath when viewed from a lift. There are no cracks or chips in windshield. The tires are in wonderful condition with lots of tread life left. Note photo of exterior roof of car, there is area over the back part of roof with spider webbing to paint, faint/superficial. And closeup photo of hood shows spot left by detailer who was overexuberant when buffing/waxing(only noticable when you are standing over it looking for it, in my opinion). Experian Auto Check report certifies it with the ‘Buyback Guarantee”. The odometer reads 107,401 and mileage is documented with books and records.
