***PLEASE NOTE: this van is listed locally. Feel free to set up appt. for van pre-inspections before auction ends and I'm also open to cash offers. You never know, you might end up with a good deal playing the auction! I reserve the right to cancel auction early if pre-qualified buyer is located. Have fun and good luck! I have up for sale my daily driver and weekend warrior - 1983 VW Vanagon Camper Westfalia Edition. This van is VERY clean, amazingly RUST FREE and very well maintained. This Van was brought over from New Mexico in 2004. Original sought after original "air cooled" engine in good condition and rebuilt 30K miles ago by previous owner. 4 speed manual, shifts good, and gets great gas mileage 18-22 mpg. I have always used high octane gas 93 and oil/filter changes every 3K miles. I know it is hard to believe but I have all the service records going back to 1998. This camper features gas heater(re-connect), canvas pop top in good condition, adjustable switch to LP/electric stove and refridge, sink, dual port electrical outlet for fans/radio, and plenty of cabinet space/storage. Fold down lower bed sleeps 2 and upper bed sleeps 2. Upper bed and pad in great condition. I recently added a new beige carpet throughout the cabin and front seating area. Tires 80% tread life remaining and rims in good shape/ready for a long trip. 360 degree curtain set. New brakes 6 months ago and battery is less than a year old with warranty replacement remaining. The face plate for the CD/IPOD READY player will need to be replaced and wipers are sometimes intermittent. Original Pioneer flush mounted speakers work great. This van was professional recently repainted back to the factory original color - CREME - and has a high gloss finish. Less than a week ago, I upgraded the muffler with a dual pipe that tucks neatly and fitted for the Vanagon. At the same time, the rear CV joints were replaced and new rear axle. Very SMOOTH! A great all around camper and one of a kind as far of a rust free van here on the east coast! I have the title in hand, inspected, registered, and ready to transfer ownership. Cheers!
