Vehicle Detail

Thanks for viewing this auction and for your consideration i am offering my 1947 Willys Jeep 4WD pickup truck.Lifelong Arizona truck until i purchased it and always garage kept.I purchased this truck because it being an Arizona truck,it had no rust issues.Frame--bed--cab--undercarriage all basically rust free and very solid. Power is provided by a small block Chevrolet 307--1969 vintage and it runs fine with no knocks and no smoke.Transmission is Jeep 3 speed with overdrive,so it can be driven at highway speeds, and i usually cruise along at about 55 mph.It steers straight and stops great. This truck has 4wd--high and low range and lock-out hubs and all work fine. I bought this fine little Willys to use ocassionally here on the farm to go get feed and to drive in some of the local parades and take to the local car shows and cruise-in's.It is dependable and always draws a crowd of onlookers whereever i take it.I just recently installed a Rochester 2bbl. carb from Summit and did a full tune-up.This truck has had a lot of restoration done and shows very well--New brakes--Tires--Battery--Wiring and the list goes on and on.The truck marks it spot in the garage, because the rear engine main seals need replaced and i have the new seals, but after recent double knee replacement i can no longer do this type of work. This does not effect the driveability of the truck, but i planned on replacing in the future. Here are a few items that i planned on replacing or adding in the future. 1. Rear main seals 2.Install headliner 3.Add manual choke 4.Install a heater---Being from arizona it did not have this option. 5.Speedometer was just rebuilt and will need new cable--which i have. 6.Seat has small wear spot on drivers side and should probably be recovered. Being an old car guy---i don't like surprises and i want to be totally upfront and honest about describing this nice Willys truck. The lights--turn signals--horn--siren all work fine. The only reason this truck is for sale,is because of family medical expenses.I have a clear title and truck will be released to new owner once full payment is received and cleared. Many Thanks and God Bless our Troops. On Oct-16-10 at 17:23:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Today i backed the Willys out of the garage and let it warm up and i noticed the valve cover gasket on the right bank passengers side is leaking oil and both valve cover gaskets should be replaced. Not a big deal, but i wanted to add this to the description. Also, the wing vent glass on passengers side is cracked. The Willys has a few things that i have listed that need addressed, but nothing major or that expensive. It is just sitting in the garage and really needs driven and enjoyed----and i need the money for hospital bills!! Many thanks.
