Factory Service Manual Sealed in a Box! Take a look...It's a must see!!! You are viewing an all original, unmolested 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom Wagon. It only has 38,000 miles since new. I just picked this up off the original owner and was so amazed that he bought this car brand new on 11/16/1965. You can tell it was a sad day for him because he said, and I quote..."Its like saying goodbye to an old friend." To be honest it got me a little choked up too. I couldn't imagine owning something for 45 years. If the original owner's health permitted and his age wasn't a factor he would still be driving this old war horse. When his wife recently hit a cement pole at the local drive in bank, they figured it was time to let her go and get something more manageable. When veiwing the pictures please notice the original window sticker. This is a highly optioned car for its day. The car runs excellent, with no hesitation, sputters, taps, knocks, creeks or smoke. It drives down the road straight and the damage seen in the photos is simple a fender, two lights, 1 chrome strip and a light bezel. There is no frame or radiator support damage at all. The bumper is fine too. Within the past 6 years this car was driven less then 6,000 miles and I have the last 3 inspection reports from the state of NJ documenting the miles and miles on the odometer as well. This is truly a rare find. And with very little money the outside can be restored to its original luster. For the interior, the headliner seams are weak and in two areas and the stitches just gave way. If you're handy with a thread and needle it too should be an easy fix. The seats are excellent and original along with all panels and dash. It has the factory installed hazards along with the original trash bag. Take a look at the pictures, EVEN THE ORIGINAL PONTIAC FLOOR MATS are in excellent shape. Look under the inside of the doors and see how solid and rust free they are too. All belts and hoses along with the tires are very road worthy and should be fine on any short or long term trip. Please study the pictures and what you see is what you get. Other then what is seen in the pictures, the floors are all solid except where the spare tire goes. There is minor rusting in that area. Hardly worth mentioning but just wanted you to know. I'm putting this vehicle out as a NO RESERVE, because I want to attract the Pontiac Lover that will see the beauty and pride, as did the original owner, in this beautiful peice of American History. With the GTO front end this car is tough in stance and with the 326 cu. in. V8 under the hood she still has some raw horse power to cook up the rear tires when needed. The car is solid but we did find one spot on the driverside frame under the door. It's a straight section of frame and has some flaking rust but no holes. It measures under 4inches.
