6" inch body drop Side doors shortened 6 inches Rear engine and cargo compartment doors welded together ¼ in LED taillights molded in into rear door Shaved taillights, headlights, side markers and front air vent. Frenched Rossi headlights Lime green paint with phantom flames... There are some dings, dents and scratches Pro Hopper Two pump hydraulic pump setup with front and back control.... no side to side. Shortened front beam w/ custom set up for the hydraulic cylinders Rebuilt Datsun L18 motor with a Weber carb setup that has never been run. This a 10 yr project that I have over $10,000 invested. Don’t have the time or inclination to finish it at this point but when done it will be THE sickest bus ever built. Body drop and initial work done by Sean Maheny of West Coast Customs and suspension setup by Art Gomez of GOEZ Customs. This bus is for the VW enthusiast that wants to own a totally one off vehicle. Happy bidding.. On Oct-14-10 at 11:41:40 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to the MANY questions I've received here is some additional information. MOTOR/TRANNY: The transmission is a stock VW bus tranny with a Kennedy Engineering adapter plate and clutch. I purchased the kit from someone who was running it in a bus for 2 years. Unfortunately they didn't have the proper cooling in place and damaged the motor, hence the reason I had it rebuilt. There is a V8 radiator included, but but no current location is selected for it. Replacing the L18 motor with an air-cooled motor should not be a problem. The stock throttle/ clutch assembly and cables are still in place. SUSPENSION: The narrowed and dropped custom front beam features late model disc brakes. The rear brakes are stock drum brakes. The emergency brake was removed and replaced with a front brake lock. The two pump setup has four accumulators and controls the front and back suspension and will raise to about 2.5 inches UNDER stock height. The bolt pattern is the stock 5X112. The bus is setup to run 18 inch wheels but can probably run 20 inch wheels with the right setup. Six inch body drop was performed by Sean Maheny who is now employed by West Coast Customs and anyone who's seen the show is familiar with his work. The chassis is now stiffer than stock thanks to 1/4 in steel used in the body drop and reinforcement underneath. The interior is entirely gutted so its an open canvas. Gas filler door was shaved and a custom filler was installed inside. I've included a few more pictures. The reserve takes into consideration how much time, work and most importantly money has been put into creating this bus. It is without a doubt a "one of one". The reserve is low enough that its still a "steal" considering how much money and effort has been put into it. Thanks for your interest,Happy bidding...
