Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE: 1998 Mereceds Benz SLK230 convertible. This car is in extremely good condition, we are the second owner's. The first owner was a 75 year old widow who had only put 38K miles on the car since it was new and my wife has driven it since then, so it has not been "hot rodded". This Mercedes is the Kompressor edition so it comes with the super-charged four cylinder engine that runs out great. We actually just had the 60K mile transmission maintenance done (put new Mobil 1 synthetic fluids in). The car has fully directional tires on it and it handles great. All window's, mirror's and electronics work perfectly. The top on this car comes down in about 10-15 seconds without any problems. We installed an aftermarket Sony CD player with Ipod input. It sounds great with the Bose speakers in the car. This car was garage kept with a cover on it by the previous owner and I have also kept it in our garage so it has remained in excellent condition. I keep a coat of Meguiars wax on it at all times and only wash the car with Maguiars car wash. The only negative thing about this car is that 2-3 letters in the word Kompressor have come off of one side. I have found them on Ebay for $10 but just never felt like it was necessary for us to replace them. We are only selling this car because we have gotten to busy and don't have enough time to drive this car anymore on the weekends and I don't want a good car just sitting. It runs great, there are no leaks, no nothing. The only thing I have had to do is replace the MAF sensor, which is the mass air flow sensor (a fancy name for an oxygen sensor). Other than that the car has ran great. We have driven it all over KY & TN on the weekends without any issues ever. The car has been maintained by a local Mercedes/BMW mechanic.
