Vehicle Detail

OK, let me tell it like it is. I know very very little about cars. most especially vintage cars. This is my old car. I moved from the country to the city about a year ago. This car is at my farm in Dale County, Alabama. I have had many people through the years who have stopped by my house and wanted to buy it- but then I did not want to sell. Now that I have moved into town- I have finally decided to put my farm up for sale and am selling some things off. I have always been under the impression that this car is a 1959. A car that old doesn't have a title- but the old bill of sale says 1959. I have a man in my community that insists it is a 1960. That may be possible- you be the judge. As far as I know, this car still has the original engine. I do not have pictures of it because as you can see it is under the barn and there is a lot of stuff around it. I am not going to pull it out unless I see some genuine interest in it. I am pretty sure it is a 8 cylinder. It was run last four or five years ago. It was running when I parked it. I drove it around the country some, but never too far from home because I didn't keep insurance on it. When I parked it- the compression seemed ok and the transmission and all was OK. It is just an old car. I have not done anything to soup it up or restore it. It has been out of the weather, but has rust, wear, the paint is bad, the interior is all orginal but probably needs replacing. You might be able to get it running again without much effort- maybe not. Lilke I said it was runnning when parked, but I haven't done a thing to it. As I recall the trunk was fairly sound, but I can't find the trunk key now. Has some chrome, missing some,, is a four door, tires are flat now and probably will not air up now. No big dents but bad paint and plenty of rust. I have been watching these on ebay lately and I have seen much better and I have seen much worse. This would be a great garage project for father and son. I would imagine it can be restored. I have had through the year a lot of people wanting it and now have decided to see what will happen on ebay. IT IS SOLD ABSOLUTELY AS IS , WHERE IS, WITH NO WARRANTIES OR PROMISES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. I will try and answer any questions I can- but honestly I do not plan to pull it out, wash it, clean it, or repair it. The new owner can do all of that. I do see some potential in old red- I think it is worth more than scrap. I have taken a few pictures from where I could get to it- it will give you a general idea of the car. The odometer is stuck , but I am sure it probably has a 100K on it or better. I bought it from an older man in my rural community and drove it around some. Again, email me and I will help all I can. BUYER WILL HAVE TO ARRANGE PICK-UP OR PICK IT UP THEMSELVES, AT BUYER EXPENSE. I am a school teacher and do not have much time to deal with it. I also live about 30 miles from car now. I am offering it at no reserve. I have been an ebay seller since 1998, so bid with confidence. Cars however are out of my area, so ask lots of questions. THANK YOU ADDITIONAL INFO: I have been informed by many many of you that this is definitely a 1959. I have also been told this is a Bel Air rather than an Impala- again you be the judge as to the correctness of this info. I am also told the bucket seats in the front were not original to the car..
