Vehicle Detail
This is a really nice vintage bike. Suzuki GT185, two stroke street bike, cafe racer style. You guys know about this bike, hard to find, especially in this condition and getting very collectible. This package was bought from the owner who accumulated several items to go with the bike in order to be able to keep it running forever. Included and pictured are the bike which I will describe below, an additional complete engine that has 110+ compression on each side dry, a NOS luggage rack that I removed, two mirrors that are Suzuki embossed that came with the bike (I removed), two additional headlights for spares, a Suzuki tune up kit including set of points and new plugs (I already installed the new plugs), a brand new rectifier I think it is, another turn signal that looks new with a new lens and I have the original bill of sale, owners manual, service manual and a clear title! Now for the bike itself. When I got it, it had been sitting in the garage stored for 3 years and was dusty. I cleaned it up, installed the two new spark plugs, two new OEM air filters, changed the oil and added new synthetic oil and two stroke oil to the oil tank. I removed the carbs and cleaned them thoroughly and installed a brand new battery. The bike kick starts easily and the electric start works flawlessly as well. Bike has the distinctive two stroke sound and runs and shifts easily through gears.Tank was etched and lines by previous owner so no worries there. All lights, signals, horn etc work. No rips or tears in the seat and as you can see it is a very pretty bike. Always turns heads in the neighborhood when I ride it around the block. Tires arent brand new but appear very good. Brakes work well. There are a few nicks here and there and I tried to show them all in the pictures, a couple of storage marks on the tank and side covers, few dents and dings in the front fender but one can be bought here on ebay for about 25 bucks if you have to have a perfect one. There are a couple of areas of rust on the rims, tiny but they are there and some faint marks here and there but really its a nice bike to be 35 years old. Now, if you are interested in this bike then you are welcome to come look at it in person. No test drives unless you have current insurance and a current motorcycle operator's license. If not I will be glad to ride it around for you so you can see how cool it looks. I urge anyone who can to call or email me and set up a viewing because once you have bought it, its yours. I wont ship the bike as I dont have time to crate it and you need to pick it up in person. I always have someone asking if they can ship it but realize that it will cost 5 or 6 hundred bucks or more and you must make all arrangements if you just cant live without it but you must clear it with me before bidding. I am tired of people not reading these descriptions and then bidding on the bike and then being shocked when they find out how much it is to ship. If you have less thank 10 feedback rating then please contact me and let me know before bidding or I will be calling you. It is expensive to sell a bike on here and I sell nice, clean vintage bikes for about half retail or less. I have tried to describe the bike as thoroughly as I can but sometimes I dont catch everything. You may buy the bike and one day discover that the headlight is the wrong one or that there is a screw missing somwhere that holds a fuse holder on or something trivial like that, I assure you if I know about it I will disclose it. If you do not agree with these terms then please dont bid, its a cool, vintage bike and its very nice but not perfect. You will enjoy it and it will appreciate in value if you keep it nice. Good Luck!
