Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for auction is a 1929 ford model a 5 window coupe/all ford drive line This is a car that was purchased by the previous owner 22 years ago and he promptly took it home and tore it down to the frame. He then sent the frame out and had it all professionally boxed and smoothed and all the holes that were not going to be used were filled so it is a really solid frame and after the work was done to it he had it painted a satin black. After saving up money for a few more years he also sent the body out to have it gone over to. And had a few dents removed but their was absolutely no rust anywhere on the body this car has zero patch panels it is all the original sheet metal that ole Henry built her with but it does have some custom work in the rear of the cabin he had a roll-up rear window installed so you could talk to the people that were in the back rumble seat(the body shop did a good job installing the hardware for the window but I have not installed the glass yet) . So after the body was taken care of it received a hot rod black paint job . When he got it back to his house he put the body back on the frame that now had the all ford drive line and that is how it sat while he was getting more parts that he wanted to complete the car like he wanted. Now let’s jump to 2008 the owner of this car had died and his widower wanted to sell the car so she contacted his model A buddies to put the word out that it was for sale and I ended up buying it and all the parts he had acquired over the years to complete the car he never did have the chance to see it finished he had installed the motor but never heard it run he had the seats redone but never had the chance to sit on them he had all the parts to finish it but never did. He had bought a 4” drop front axle with disk brakes from speedway motors and he bought the rear four link suspension from speed way as well and he had gotten an 8” posi for the rear also. It has all brand new firestone fire hawk tires all the way around 14” up front and 15” in the rear, steel wheels with ford dog dish hubcaps ,power brakes and the list of things just keeps growing. John really put a lot of money in to this car and he had high hopes of getting it done the way he wanted to see it but he just ran out of time. Here is a list of parts on the car that he had purchased before his death. And if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to c contact me at 231-206-5258 Kirk or 231-578-2887 Kurt ALL NEW TIRES CHROME HEADERS MOTOR SPORT PLUG WIRES HOLLY 600 CFM CARB CALIFORNIA WIRING LOKAR SHIFTER AND EMERGENCY BRAKE TILT FORD STEERING COLUMN THE ORIGINAL MODEL A GAS TANK 1-WIRE ALT 4 LINK SUSPENSION ON REAR THERMOSTATICLY CONTROLED FAN ELECTRIC SPEEDO ALL NEW UPHOLSTRY MINI HIGH TORQUE STARTER 1985 FORD 302 MUSTANG GT MOTOR C-4 AUTOMATIC TRANS 8”FORD POSI REAR-END And probably some other items that I missed but rest assured this is a truly nice car one that you could be proud to own and drive to shows or parades so bid to win it needs to go to a new home for somebody to enjoy.
