This vehicle is ready for restoration! The original invoice is included! If you are a Mercury Cougar fan, this 8 cylinder, 351 HP car will provide you with a good, solid base for your restoration project. It is all original, and was purchased by our family from the estate of the original owner who was a friend. All service records are available. It is the basic model, stick shift, and no A/C. There are imperfections, which can be seen in the accompanying photos. It will need a new coat of paint, and repair to the bodywork of the doors. Some chrome damage round the headlight area. The hood alignment may need adjusting. The windows don't roll up and close properly. The interior will need more extensive work, with the seats and back window suffering from the effects of the sun. It has been parked for the past 5 years but was driven frequently till then. Unfortunately it no longer starts so the engine will need to be looked at. Please feel free to ask questions of the seller should you need additional information. This car is a California Central Valley car, and has always been located in Davis. The buyer will be responsible for pickup in Davis or transporting this car from Davis, CA, within a month of the purchase. Also, it is a 351 cu in (5.8 L) engine, not 351 HP as previously stated! (From Wikipedia: The Windsor is a 90-degree small-block V8 engine from Ford Motor Company. It was introduced in 1962, replacing the previous Ford Y-block engine. Though not all of the engines in this family were produced at the Windsor, Ontario engine plant (all Ford small blocks came from Cleveland, Ohio until 1966), the name stuck.
