1985 MBZ 500sel ... was the king of cars back in 85. 138.000 miles. Hi and thanks for looking. im selling my 85 classic. as pictured, the car has lower miles than average ones you'll find out there. California classic with the blue plates since 85.. overall nice car that is fun to drive. exterior looks nice, paint shines up nicely, does have typical bumper scratches and parking dings, and a couple minor paint blisters but nothing major to worry about, its been a CA car so it didn't have a chance to collect rust, underbelly is clean, and rust free,, all glasses are in good shape, front tires are at 50% michelins, rear are 25% also michelins,, i had the rims repainted at a local detail shop, looks nice. all lights work good, overall clean car but not museum shape. interior is pretty clean and original, surprisingly the seats , carpets and the dash is clean... the dash has one small crack on the speaker side, which is hard to see, wood trimmings are good, seats are pretty firm and have no tears, only shows minor wear, power and heated seats, both front and back seats recline, but the back seat does not recline at all times, switch issue i guess,, all power door locks work, power windows work except for the right rear window, which needs a platic regulator trim worth $8 dollars at the dealer.. stereo does not work, all gauges work well, sunroof works.. overall clean interior with minor wear and tear.. Mechanically the car runs good, engine and transmission are okay, has low miles for its age, its all original , so i will recommend a tune up, like , new wires, new fuel filter, new plugs , cap rotor.... the car hasn't been used much for the last 4 years and that is why i would recommend a tune up,,, i was thinking of doing it myself, but i have too many projects and little time... it drives like a tank and its pretty fast, it passed the california smog emissions with flying colors, and if it passed the smog in Cali, it will pass everywhere else. its currently registered under my name , and i do have a clear title.. very reliable and roadworthy car, that i wouldn't hesitate to drive cross country , the Air conditioner does not work, and will need a service ,, so the new owner will have a couple things to do when you buy it.. it will keep you a bit busy... please consider the tune up and minor issues i listed and bid with confidence. if you have any questions feel free to email ,, or call me direct..626..262..0762 joseph.. i want to thank you for taking the time to read my ad. terms of sale... i would like the winning bidder to contact me next day of close and pay 20% deposit, and the balance to be paid within 5 days, for other options please discuss that with me before bidding and not after, i prefer , cashiers checks, money orders, , bank wires , or simply pay cash in person. i dont prefer paypal, unless its the only option i have. thanks again. good luck bidding.
