Vehicle Detail

Hello all, This is a FAILED veg oil conversion experiment. Long story short it blew an engine due to low on ENGINE oil because the driver wasn't watching the engine oil levels. We don't believe that it was in any way related to the veg oil conversion since it was running on plain deisel at time. Anyways the driver kept cranking it and the engine seized. So... stupid me, I had a shade-tree mechanic replace the engine at a cost of $6000.00 because I really really wanted my vegoil experiment to work!!!!! It almost broke me, and then immediately after that the fuel injectors went out after the repair. I can't say absolutely for sure whether it was the mechanics fault, but I definitely suspect that it was an error on his part, because this guy was not a pro diesel mechanic. Anyways I basically through my hands in the air and said to the mechanic "I'm not giving you any more money until you fix it". Since then he has just procrastinated for over a year now. So yes, the van has been sitting up for more than a year now and still needs fuel injectors to be rebuilt/replaced. So to reiterate what is for sale is a 1994 ford diesel van that has been converted to run on vegetable oil but it has blown fuel injectors and it has now been sitting up at the mechanic for over a year. But the engine itself is newly rebuilt - literally a $5000 engine for which I have the receipt. We put less than 100 miles on the replacement enging before the fuel injectors failed. The conversion kit was the standard greasecar conversion kit, 40 gallon additional fuel tank sits behind the driver/passenger chairs. We ran about 1000 miles on veg oil and the veg switching system was working fine. Also the transmission was rebuilt only about 6000 miles ago, according to the guy I bought it from it was still under warranty when I bought it. I paid $3500 on the van about 3 years ago. I paid about $1000 for the greasecar conversion kit, spent another $800 on labor and misc. parts to install it. I had my mechanic replaced the engine at a total cost of $6500.000. Again, the engine is brand spanking newly rebuilt. This is $5000 motor folks. So my total investment in this project is well over $10,000. To get the fuel injectors rebuilt should be around $300-$500. I am starting bidding at $2500 for the whole deal: engine, transmission, the van itself, and the conversion kit. If this doesn't sell I will part it out, and that would be a shame. I hope some lucky greasecar enthusiast can scoop up and appreciate this vehicle. The newly refurbished 7.3L diesel engine alone is worth $2500 to the right buyer. I should know because I paid $5000 for it.
