Vehicle Detail
Rare (only 4000 produced, and probably only 2000 left in existance). This southern rust free car from Lousiana is ready to be turned into your own resto-mod or classic! No engine, transmission or interior. Completly sandblasted and red oxidize treatment on the engine compartment, trunk, interior, and underneath. Good paint, good glass, chrome, and trim. You won't find a better condition body than this one very easy! Add your own drive train, find an interior donor car or build a custom one and you'll have a great, rare, street rod. I have all the glass except one back window, windshield has no cracks. The top has a couple rips, but could be patched or replaced. Electric windows and motors are there. All wiring looks to be in place. I have a black hood with a little damage on it that goes with the car, it's very straight and nice except one area (pictures soon) History: This car was a southern car all it's life until it came to Iowa recently. No title, I have a bill of sale for it from the gentleman I bought it from. He got it when he was down in Louisiana doing drywall work after Katrina. The original title was thrown away by volunteers. This car is in too good of shape not to get back on the road. The previous owner was told he had to sandblast the underneith, interior, engine compartment, trunk, and interior and have it red oxodized before it was brought to Iowa due to sea salt could rust it. There are only two spots on the floor board where rust used to be (easy patch) Quarters, trunk and everything else is solid and rust free. The buyer will need to apply for a bonded title with the bill of sale you will recieve with the car from me. To get a bonded title (as I understand it) you take pictures of the car as it is before you work on it and fill out an application for the DMV. They put a value on the car and you insure it for 10% of that value. They do record searches and after two years you get a clear title. I have no reason to believe this is anything more than a lost title car and the VIN plate is in plain view right on the dash! I need this to go to a new owner before snow flies! No time for me to deal with it since I just want to sell it anyways. I will add more pictures of the interior, underneath, and trunk soon, but they are excellent! I have added chevy ralley rims with fresh black paint and all new chrome lugnuts. Tire are ok for rollers. Thanks for looking and ask me questions if you need more info. The winning bidder will send a deposit of $500.00 through paypal within 48 hours from the end of the auction, and the balance will be due within 7 days from the end of the auction. Vehicle will be sold in as is, where is condition. Buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle and/or arranging for transportation. I also reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle is sold locally as for it is advertised locally. Happy Bidding! On Oct-08-10 at 08:46:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I added 18 more pictures today, I made sure to take a pics of imperfections. I am an honest seller with an excellent eBay history and I want to make sure everyone can see this car almost as well as if they were standing in my driveway. Check my website for more information on me! www.hillbillyhotrodshop.com I am asking buyers with less that 25 feedback to contact me so I know they are able to purchase the vehicle and intend to. ( no disrespect, just a bad experience with a low feedback buyer.) Thank you!On Oct-09-10 at 05:37:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Bidders: This is a low reserve car! and I am motivated to sell it. It's the real deal so don't let it slip away. Thanks... On Oct-12-10 at 04:05:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Greetings watchers and bidders! Thank you for your bids! This car WILL SELL! I just lowered the reserve price way low and the reserve will be met on the next bid! Good luck in winning this exceptional 1972 Impala convertible!!!
