OK, I've got too many toys and this one has to go! It's the only one that won't fit in the garage and I don't want to leave it sitting outside over the winter. I have had this car for several years and was driving it to work and wherever last year. Then I bought another super beetle and parked this one. For whatever reason, my husband took the carburator off and put it on another car. (We have several VWs) He later put the carburator back on this car and now it won't stay running. I had spent several hundred dollars on the car prior to that and it ran fine, but now it won't. I will include the receipt, if I can find it, so you'll know what has been done. I don't want to spend any more money on it because as I said earlier, I bought another car. It has an automatic transmission - you can either start it in 1st gear and shift up to 2nd, or just put it in 2nd and leave it. There is no clutch. To change between 1st/2nd/reverse you just depress the gear shifter and move it. The brake system has been replaced from the master cylinder on back. It also has a new gas tank. As you can see it does need some cosmetic work and I tried to capture all of it in the pictures. The nice thing about VWs is that parts are easy to find and they are inexpensive.
