Vehicle Detail
1949 Chevrolet Deluxe, Straight 6. I bought this in 2003 as a project. Bought it off of Ebay for $425, went to Athens, Alabama, put it on a trailer and brought it to Texas. It sat in my front yard for about 3 months as I got together funds to start rebuilding; but, life came along and it ended up being drug into the woods where it has sat ever since. Ultimately, I figure there are two choices -- 1) take it "over the scales" and sell it for weight, or 2) return it to eBay to give someone else parts or a shot at a project of their own. I took four pictures of it as it sits now. I have not opened a door of it or laid a hand on it in over fix years and two marriages ago. I have no means of moving, no means of shipping, and no idea about most of the particulars. If you want to ask a question, you are welcome to do so, but, likely, it will take some research to give you an answer more complicated than what color the car is. This will be a dollar auction, though, selling it below 60 means the ad cost me money. If it sells for a dollar, it is yours. The fine print: You are buying it AS IS WHERE IS and your winning bid means you are coming to get it. The car is not in a super easy place to pick up, but also not impossible by any means. Come prepared to move a car that has been sitting for the mass of a decade, weighs out heavy, and may be uncooperative. Lastly, I have no title to the car. It has not been titled in 20+ years. I received a bill of sale in Alabama and will give you my original of it and a bill of sale from me. Applying for a lost title could be an option, tracing title could be an option, and state to state options vary. If you are using it for parts, I suppose none of that matters. If you restore it, personally, I would get the thing titled somehow for my own comforts. $1.00 start. Good luck to you and thanks for looking.
