Vehicle Detail
You see lots of cars on ebay that claim to be all original except for one repaint or interior redone or engine overhauled, blah, blah, blah. Folks original means just that. The way it left the factory and that includes factory paint and interior and driveline. Thi is one of those cars. I purchased it from the original owner who parked it after her husbands death in 1983. It has never been left outside. The interior is flawless including the beautiful two-tone steering wheel. Most all of the dealer installed plastic seat covers is still intact. All windows are flawless including the windshield. It runs and drives just like a new car with the exception of the brake booster which I did not replace. It needs rebuilt and not replaced. Everything under the hood id all original including the date coded spark plug wires. I did not detail this car anywhere. I only washed 27 years of dust off of it. The pot metal on this car is flawless as is the stainless. Thers is "no" pitting at all. Only one small dent in rear bumper. Everthing works but the AC which probably needs new o rings and recharged. It was working when parked. I can go on and on but you just need to come see this car in person. I have never seen one this nice.On Oct-03-10 at 19:49:07 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add that I have the original owners manual, sales invoice,protecto-plate,sales contract where she traded in her 60 Olds 98 and reciept for dealer undercoating. This car is 100% rust frree. You find a nicer 64 Olds than this one and I will pay you a 500.00 finder fee.On Oct-05-10 at 17:21:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had so many emails about this car I need to clear up some confusion. When I said only one dent I meant in the chrome and trim. Remember this car sat in a garage for 25 years and was never moved. Mrs. Oakleys childred and her grandchildren have played around this car. There are 2 dings on driver side and 2 or 3 small scratches. 4 small dings around center of hood. Passenger side has no door dings but there is a few minor nicks that the old man tried to touch up with a brush. She also told me her son left a can of brake fluid on the trunk and it ate the paint off in a small 4in by 4in area. I am being very critical of the condition of this car. I have not driven this car more than a few miles and the lifters still clatter when you first start the car then it goes away. As I said before this is the nicest "original" big car I have seen. With a simple repaint (no jambs) this car would be museum quality. I hope this clears up the description. If you buy this car and are not as impressed as I am then I will refund your deposit minus my listing fees. Its that simple.
