Vehicle Detail

Online Auctions Is Proud to Present . . . A VERY RARE 1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR 2 DOOR HARDTOP! Hi Guys, Kellie Jo Here, This is another car from my Dad's Collection and he has given me his permission to sell it! One of the ultimate collector cars of all time is the 1957 Chevrolet. There’s something about these cars that just separates them from everything else out there. With tons of chrome and stainless trim, to the expansive and no frills interior, these cars are both unique and timeless. Direct from my Dad's collection, this beauty was restored seven years ago with no expense spared. He told me that over $50,000 was invested restoring her to her former beauty. This particular Bel Air left the factory with a 283 FUEL INJECTED ENGINE, however it now sports a 350 Cubic Inch V8 (Bored 30 Over) and backed by a 4 Speed Transmission. The engine has a 650 Holley Carb & 202 Hump Heads with Headers and a mild cam. You can only imagine how nice she sounds and how fast she goes! Everybody who sees it just can't believe how beautiful the paint color is! In my Dad's opinion, out of the Tri-Five's, the 1957 was the best of the bunch, possessing all of the styling features which made the 1957 Bel Air the single most recognizable car of all time. As Chevy nuts will tell you, finding 1957 2 Door Hardtops in this good of shape at a decent price is darn near impossible! So, it is with great pleasure that we offer this rare, beautiful, highly detailed 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Finished in a beautiful Red/Orange color, this solid classic will be sure to make a hit at your local Cruise-In or car show. She shifts & drives like a dream and would make someone a great car that can be driven and shown with pride. The recipient of a thorough restoration, this beauty has only been driven about 3,000 miles each year since completed in 2004. The body is very straight and the car shines from every angle. There are several minor chips that have been touched up and several places where bubbling has occurred but aren’t noticeable unless you go looking for them. About what you’d expect from a car that’s been driven to shows for the past 6 or 7 years. The underside of this car is very respectable with only surface rust on the otherwise solid frame.. The rest is clean and beautiful. The overall appearance is about what you would expect to see from a driver quality classic car. All glass was replaced during the restoration and shows beautifully. Likewise, all of the weather-strip, body bumpers, interior pieces, gaskets and seals were new or re-chromed and show as such. Complimenting the beautiful glass is impressive trim and chrome. As stated above, there appears to be about 1000 pounds of chrome and stainless trim on these cars, and every single piece was either restored or replaced with new. All of the trim is straight and beautiful, however, as with any older restoration, there are some pieces (wing windows mostly) with pitting and discolorations. Other than that, the chrome on this Bel Air is blinding! She rolls on authentic Cragar wheels with Dunlop G/T Qualifier 235/60/15 tires. There is minor pitting on the wheels and the tires are like new. Mechanically speaking, everything was rebuilt or replaced, including the engine, transmission, power steering pump, alternator, starter, virtually everything! Talk about power steering... one finger and she turns on a dime! When you open the driver’s door on this Bel Air, you really start to get a feel for the fifties all over again. As much as I love the exterior of these cars, it’s the interior that makes it all come together. First, you’ll notice that the interior looks brand new …. literally. From the new door panels and hardware, to the inlay bucket seats, to the new headliner, the gorgeously restored painted dash, to the steering wheel … it screams 1950s and whispers “be careful, I am brand new”. Notice all of the trim in the interior, including the headliner … every single piece was redone or replaced and is drop-dead gorgeous! I imagine you'll look long and hard before you find anything like this again. You may not want to let this one get away. It's just really cool and everybody flips out when they see it! The color is what gets most people's attention. It's not quite red and it's not quite orange. I'd say it's a combination of both. Regardless of what it is, it's one of those colors that EVERYONE appreciates.. men, women and children of every age! So There You Have It … A Rare, '57 2 Door Bel Air Hardtop! In summary, if you are looking for a real 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air that is ready for endless years of cruising and shows, this is your car. Understanding how rare these cars are, and how red-hot all of the mid to late 1950’s cars have been over the past year, this is not a car to pass on or think about! This is a car that will bring a big smile to your face each and every time you look at it, drive it, or show it. Don’t pass on this one! If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me and I promise to get the answers for you. My Dad is very busy during the day, however, I'll meet with him in the evenings and get your questions answered. All of the cars you see in these pictures will be available on Ebay in the near future. Please do not make offers until they are listed. Feel free to add me to your favorites! Remember, this '57 was Originally a Fuel Injected Car! DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY GUYS! (Every time I sell one of my Dad's cars, I get e-mails asking if it's still available!) If you have any further questions about this car, please contact me and I will do my best to answer them.
