***** Bike is being relisted due to previous buyer not being happy with the paint job as it had a few nicks. Please note this is NOT a museum quality bike rather is a a complete overhaul which resulted in a great reliable Honda ***** For Sale is my 1970 SL175 that I rescued from a leaning garage a little over 7 years ago. It was in very rough shape when I found it so I replaced the following parts, in some instances with new old stock parts and in other instances off of a parts bike. Here are the items that I have replaced: Fenders, side covers and gas tank were stripped and repainted by a professional body shop. They were restored to the original Candy Saphire Blue Metallic paint Gas tank was cleaned and etched with a creme kit. NO rust or corrosion New gas cap New fuel lines New fuel petcock Carbs were rebuilt with new carb kits by a local motorcycle shop New seat off of a 1971 SL175 New Battery New tires front and rear including tubes New front and rear sprockets New chain New brakes Turn Signals (front and rear) New turn signal switch and relay (very hard to find) All new lightbulbs Rear tail light assembly All engine gaskets replaced New handle bars New grips New brake and clutch levers New mirrors New Rear Shocks Here are the only items it needs: The horn isn't working. It was when I first got it repaired over 7 years ago but since then it stopped working. An inexpensive item. The left mirror just cracked on me. I will try and get this repaired prior to auction ending. The assembly is fine, I just broke the mirror glass while backing the bike out of my garage. Please feel free to email me with any questions. This is not a full restoration on the bike but rather a complete overhaul but as such shows marks and nicks from being a 40 year old motorcycle. My intention was to allow my wife to use this as a motorcycle to learn on but she lost interest and it has been sitting. I do not want it to fall into a state of disrepair again so I would like to see it go to someone that will use it. It is a great, reliable Honda that someone would be very happy with. I just had it serviced about 2 weeks ago and starts on the 2nd or 3rd kick and purrs like a kitten. 5800 for a 40 year old motorcycle makes this an extremely low mileage bike considering its age. No warranties expressed or implied. I am also selling the bike locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. I do have a clean title for this motorcycle as well.
