Vehicle Detail
After giving up my search for the perfect Mopar, I finally found the next car I had been looking for... the right big block Vega that I could drop a blown 454 into. When I found this beast, I abandoned my Mopar search. This Vega, already set up nicely with a 454, the big block blower motor swap would have been be fairly easy. My problem, though, is that, before I could even begin the blower motor project for this Vega, I stumbled upon the perfect Mopar I had been looking for (doesn't that always happen!?), so the Vega must go, along with my dream to make it a completely insane machine (as if it's not deranged enough already). Below you will find the description that the previous seller (who sold it to me for the original builder) wrote out when I bought it. All I can add is that the only thing you may want to do to this car is put an alternator on it. Or you can simply put it on a trickle-charger to keep the battery charged. Either way, it's a simple remedy. This car is insane to look at and it really does drive extremely nicely. The body is straight and the paint shines! No dings or dents at all in the body. There are just a few very minor nicks which could easily be touched up if you want it to be perfect. The fenders, doors and hood are fiberglass but look just like original steel, without the weight. Seriously, there are no waves at all in the fiberglass and it all bolts on just like the original panels. This car probably weighs about 2700lbs with the big block in it! The motor runs perfectly and I would estimate the HP to be about 425. Aluminum Griffin radiator. The interior has no issues whatsoever. Just beautiful with new racing harness and lightweight seats. The 9" rear end is freshly built and the rear shocks are brand new. I have a brand new (just delivered today!) fiberglass rear bumper that the high bidder has the option of purchasing for $250 (that's what it cost). I hate to have to let this beast of a car go but I need to in order to make sure I can keep my new Mopar. Not to mention I will definitely need the garage space. I know an awesome transport service that delivered this car from 5000 miles away. They charged $1085 with no deposit and I didn't pay until the car was dropped off at my house within 14 days of my first call to them! Winning bidder must send a deposit of $1000 via paypal within 24 hours of auctions end or USPS money order ONLY, to be mailed within 24 hours of auctions end. Sorry, no exceptions. Balance due no later than 7 days from auctions end via USPS money order only (or cash if picking up in person). To paraphrase the previous seller: 1974 Vega Pro-Street 454 Big Block Nostalgia Panel. This car was built right and it drives flawlessly. The fresh built 454 has a mild street cam and is backed up by a brand new Powerglide Transmission with a 3000 Stall converter. The rear end is a narrowed Ford 9" with 4:10 gears. This car is driven regulary and burns 93 octane pump gas. It has been kept indoors always. It rides on brand new Cragar S.S. wheels. The interior is beautiful diamond tuck and carpet and is fisnished nicely thoughout the entire interior including the headliner. There is no rust on this Vega anywhere and the underneath is as clean as the rest of the car. The car was updated with disc brakes at all 4 corners and they bring this Big Block Vega to a quick halt. This Vega Panel has working lights, turn signals, brake lights, horn, ect. as this car is driven regularly. Bid with 100% confidence as NICE Big Block Vegas don't surface too often and this is a nice one!!
