1997 Lincoln Mark 8. Skips a beat when accelerating sometimes. Definitely needs fuel filter. Would not hurt to put a new alternator in there. Sept 29, 2010.............Ran the car today on streets and it ran great. Tested the alternator with a tester and it is supplying adequate voltage . So problem probably is an intermittent problem if there is one. Needs a motor oil change.
