Vehicle Detail

THIS ITEM IS BACK UP FOR BIDDING DUE TO A BIDDER WHO DID NOT PAY. You are bidding on a 1952 Packard Chop Top. This is your chance to own a really special piece of American history! The car would make a great and easy project as all of the hard work has been done. The top has been chopped about 9 inches in front and 11 in the rear. The car comes with the original straight 8 Cylinder. All of the car has been body worked ad just needs finish sanding. The car is mostly complete. In the pictures you can see the emblems, door handles, vent wings, headlights, interior door handles, window regulators and sashes, rear brake light assemblies, grill shell, and the rear view mirror. The only piece not pictured here is the rear bumper which I have but it was not on the car when I took the pictures, it is in great condition. This would make a great project for the winter to have a killer custom car for next summer. The car rolls fine and all the tires hold air. All of the gauges are there and worked at least a year and a half ago. All of the seats are there and intact. The brakes work but not well, the master cylinder needs to be rebuilt. The car is an automatic and ran well the last time it was driven. The engine has been partially disassembled but it is all there minus the generator. The engine spun freely when I first got the car about a year and a half ago and it also ran well. I used to go out and spin the engine over a few times but now it is frozen and I'm not sure why, I did not spin it for the last eight months so I am afraid it may be gunked up and stuck. The car is no in running condition. I was gonna finish this car to be a daily driver but I just don't have time with school starting. I was gonna rebuild the engine and fix the master cylinder and then it should drive, but I need to focus on grades right now. The only body work left to complete is the piece of metal behind the rear window that needs to be finish welded and body worked, as well as the driver door needs some fill welding by the vent wing. My loss your gain. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Note: I just uploaded a few more pictures, this is to show you the condition of the body when I first picked it up. There was only surface rust.
