Well, Here we go. I bought this car almost 3 years ago from the original owner after looking for several years for this exact car, with the intention of keeping it forever. However, now the reality of my current financial situation dictates its sale. The car will sell to the highest bidder at the close of the auction. It will not be pulled early, or sold locally. Please do not bid if you cannot pay. It is essential I receive payment at auctions end. If you have been looking for a completely original 1981 4 speed Corvette this is it. The only things not original are the tires and battery. Also, the A/C has been converted to 134A. It blows ice cold and has not been charged in the 3 years I've owned it. I bought this car to drive, but its just way to nice, so I only put a little over 1200 miles on it in that time. This car has been in the rain 1 time (the day I bought it). The car has been serviced only by a G.M dealer since new. 51,210 original miles (Documented), numbers matching L-48350V8, 4 SPD, P.S, P.B, A/C, power windows, AM-FM Cassette, rear window defogger, power drivers seat, tilt tele stearing column, factory headers, chrome valve covers. The interior of this car is nearly flawless and still has that new car smell. Everything works properly, head lights, gauges, radio, etc. The seatbelt buzzer and light actually come on until you buckle up. It has smoke T-Tops with original bags and owners manual. As you probably know GM only produced 5700 4spd cars out of 40,000 total in 1981. Also, I believe this color combo with 4spd to be the rarest for 1981. I also believe this to be the nicest original one of this color/option combo left unless someone has one in a museum or collection somewhere. This car runs and drives like new. The paint (29 years old) still looks good. There are a couple spots on the rear deck/spoiler area (see photos) where some pine rosen dripped from the rafters onto the car cover.
