Check out this European Ragtop! It's a 1995 Saab 900 SE Non-Turbo Convertible with equipment that makes it fun and practical in both the Summer and in the Winter, available this week at NO RESERVE. This is a PROJECT CAR! It needs attention and some old fashioned TLC, but it would make an affordable, good project vehicle for a new driver or for someone who wants a unique convertible driver. WHAT IT NEEDS:A Full Detail bumper-to-bumper; a thorough cleaning inside and outA tune-up - the fuel mixture smells a bit rich and the idling is not as smooth as it should be. However, the car does not misfire or run rough once you step on the accelerator.Attention to detail with the many features and accessories. EXTERIOR: The LeMans Blue clearcoat finish is showing its age. It needs a buffing and waxing; there are also scratches on the decklid (pictured) and some surface rust on the bottom of the trunk lid (pictured). There is also a scuff mark on the LR bumper (pictured). The RF wheel is missing the center cap. The convertible top is a dark blue canvas that is in very good condition with no tears, rips, or major discolorations. INTERIOR: The gray leather interior is generally in poor condition. Both front seats are weathered, worn, and cracked. I've seen this before on several Saabs and they are repairable, if you choose. The back seat has a small split in the seam (all pictured). The carpets are significantly soiled and require a throrough steam cleaning to bring them back. The driver's seat is missing a small plastic plate that covers the bottom side rear (pictured). The Saab information LED readout is difficult to read at times. The convertible top only retracts manually. The electric motor that moves the top automatically attempts to move it but it doesn't. Like I said earlier, this is a project car but it can be brought back to a condition that highlights the many Saab features and amenities. Mechanical: The engine starts right away with no smoke or unusual noises. It needs tuned up however. It idles a little rough at low RPM but does not misfire. The transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes are firm and responsive. The tires have 50% tread remaining. The car rides and drives nicely and is comfortible. The Factory A/C takes a long time to blow cool, probably because it is low on freon. We sell these vehicles with NO RESERVE and let the market dictate the true value.
