I love this truck but he's go to go. I bought this upon arrival in the US in 2005. I'm English and I wanted a big American classic truck to drive around in. I bought this from a guy in Arizona - it had been there all its life and as a result is in very solid condition. I had a respray done (the paint was faded out from the desert sun) and that was it for a while. I drove this every day for 3 years. When I bought it it had recently had a new crate engine. I maintained the vehicle well and had brakes completely re-done, transmission re-done, new steering pump, new shocks, all switch gear fixed etc...a ton of stuff because I used it every day to go to work and to move my kids around in etc. Last year I took it on a camping trip and did about 600 miles in 3 days without a single issue. In September purchased a 1971 Blazer (you can see it in one of the pics) and I stopped using this '76, so it went in my garage and stayed there. I thought I would use both but I have 3 cars and 4 motorcycles and this '76 beauty just doesn't get used. Here's some other info, in no particular order: - This thing starts every time without fail. However, it has been sitting for a year so if you want to show up here in Chicago and drive it back home a long way I'd be cautious. I started it up every month and drove it around the block, but the fuel is kind of old and it probably needs a good service and clean out. - Brakes work great. All switch gear works pretty much. Has no washer bottle. Air con doesn't work (I've had it working in the past..probably needs a refill) - Body is very solid. Has some rust along the front of the bonnet and above driver's door. These pics were taken in fall last year. The car has been garaged since then but the rust has got a little worse, but not what I would call material. - Power steering works great - It's the 2WD version - There's a bit of a leak from the transmission but it's minor - It had 78000 miles on it when I bought it and about 10,000 on the new engine. I've done about 15,000 miles in the last 5 years. These numbers are not precise. Definitely a daily driver. You could spend a couple of grand and really make it nice. I get a lot of positive comments about it. I am leaving the country on Oct 11 for 2 weeks so you'll need to pick it up before then.
